5.0 out of 5 stars Beach Day Gamechanger - Buy It!
Couldn't be happier with this. Yes, it's a little heavy to get out onto the sand, and probably not worth the hassle for a quick beach visit... but if you're going for the day, it's like having a house on the beach! I can't stand sitting in direct sun and baking during mid day peak summer and always refused to go to the beach (preferring early morning or sunset when it's cooler), and have been subsequently vilified by wife kids and friends. This got me out there... easily sits 6 or more adults, sleeping kids, coolers, and complete shade. No joke, every time we go to the beach people walk by and say "that thing is AWESOME - where did you get it?"After about 10 uses so far, all is well. Nothing broken, everything working well, good as new. Excellent shade. Very rugged, and it has stood rock solid on very windy days out on eastern long island. Unless very windy, stakes and tie downs really aren't needed - nor all the velcro straps that attach to the roof frame. The fewer things you attach for a single use beach day, the fewer steps to take it down. The ONLY complaint - ONLY - is that for beach use, the telescoping legs become absolutely locked once the tiniest bit of sand gets in there. Like, a single grain of sand. Absolute locked, as if glued together. There's a slight learning curve to getting this thing set up and taken down. Thoughts and pro tips as follow:- BRING A HAMMER. Non-negotiable. Not a rock, not a beach toy, not driftwood - a metal hammer. Why? To get the legs telescoped in/out, and to bang tie down spikes into the ground.- Set the frame on its side first (after 1st use on beach telescoping legs will already have sand infiltration and not slide easily if at all). Use hammer to bang against the steel feet to get them telescoped out. I threw MASSIVE sweaty tantrums in noon sun the 2nd and 3rd use before bringing the hammer, because the legs would'nt extend out - again the smallest amount of sand binds them.- Ignore instructions and get all 4 legs into the 1st/lowest positioning before setting upright - otherwise you'll lose your mind, think it's broken, and give up.- DO NOT accordion out the frame out all the way. Only go 1/3 to 1/2 the diameter. Why? Easier to get the canopy on.- After draping the main canopy over the frame, DON't FORGET to get the little roof vent on the top poles.- NOW grab a helper, stand diagonally on opposite corners and pull it open fully.- ***MAJOR*** pro tip. @ about 75% open, reach up at corners and PULL DOWN at the very end of the top where the canopy sleeve to snap/lock the top members straight overhead. Yes you need to push up from the inside, but the pull down method from the outside corner is epic.- Safety tip: watch your hands!!! With any telescoping part, it's easy to get hands pinched especially with jerky movements. We learned the hard way.- Sunset/late day tip: When the sun gets low (we have sunset-facing beaches), you can lower the legs on one side to angle the whole thing. This all sounds harder than it is. I had it down to a science after the 3rd use. 3-4 mins realistic setup time, and though cumbersome, I've done it myself while family was in rebellion. If you were assembling this indoors without sand, follow the instructions. On the beach, trust me, this is a proven way. Don't forget the hammer. Enjoy and godspeed!
5.0 out of 5 stars We love this. It's an AWESOME size -- sooooo much ...
We love this. It's an AWESOME size -- sooooo much better than the regular 10 x 10 foot ones. Because we are military and just renting temporarily, my husband uses this to work on our cars our jet skis in front of the garage we have (the garage is small, so we really can't fit vehicles in there with all of the tools he already has in there). He can fit two jet skis (plus the trailer, obviously) easily under it and still have a couple feet of shade around the perimeter for himself when he is working on them. We also have a jeep, which fits easily under this (although we have to make sure the top is down or it will snag the edge of the tent when moving the vehicle under it) -- but again, he has tons of shade still around the perimeter to work on the vehicle; a little car would easily fit under this, as would a truck -- just again, you need to make sure the height won't hit the edge of the tent when pulling it under it, but even then, if you needed to get a larger truck underneath, the tent is light enough to have someone help lift it up while pulling the vehicle under it, and the vehicle will easily fit once it is under the actual canopy -- it's actually really high. We haven't tried out the light features on it yet - it's somehow specially made to attach lights to it, but I just haven't looked into that yet. It's also pretty stable when it is tied down and staked -- it's already been through a couple storms and has been fine. It's also really easy to put up and take down with two people, and again, move if you have at least two people - it's super light; I wouldn't try to put it up or take it down on your own though - you will end up breaking it or bending something on it just because it's so large. But it really is super light and easy to move if you have at least two people. Everyone in our neighborhood has told us also how good it looks - it doesn't look cheap; we've even had a couple request to borrow it because it is such a good size for large groups of people, garage sales, etc. Definitely one of my better investments as far as canopies go - HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
Excelente
El precio es muy razonable, de excelente calidad y la instalación es muy sencilla, se necesitan mínimos dos personas para instalar, estoy muy satisfecho y lo recomiendo ...
Best shelter
Best ever shelter, takes a bit to set up, but after several times it very fast and easy!
Won’t be disappointed
I loved this gazebo so much this is my second one. It’s super sturdy, very easy to put up with 2 people. The dome at the top helps circulate air and in turn makes it great with bad weather impact. Definitely recommend
Buen material, portable
