Purchased for ZZZ rated gold motorcycle chain 1300cc+. went on smooth, good price, a brand I trust, and also works on my car door swing arms, handle latches, locks, padlocks, RV door handles and RV locks. 1 little spray and I can close my door with a light touch using 1 finger where I had to slam it with a full hand before.

In our firewood and sawlog work, we use a Farmi 7 ton logging winch on a 70hp Kubota. It is fitted with 160ft. of 7/16" steel cable.Over long term use, as the cable winds and unwinds from the winch drum and around snatch-block pulleys, the cable is subjected to abrasian and flexing stress. A common source of failure is from cable strands breaking or corroding from within.A cable snapping while skidding or felling is a very dangeous event.Lubrication and corrosion prevention helps prevent this and extend cable life.The Liquid Wrench L711 lube is a foam - relatively easy to apply - and seems effective.We extended the whole length of the cable, attached the hook to the front of a Kubota RTV and then "reeled-it-in" to the headframe, while applying foam to the slowly passing cable at the headframe pulley (pics 2, 3). The light tension on the incoming cable kept it off the ground and free of wet and dirt. Care must be taken to keep the lube from the clutch apparatus.We also strongly recommend use of a winch 'blanket' as a safety damper when winching under heavy stress. ~ The Duffian.

Did a lot of research to find a good chain lube for my motorcycle and found many reviews recommending this. Best applied when returning from a ride and letting sit (dry) over night. No mess or throughing lube off while riding. Very pleased and expect regular use to extend the life of my sprockets and chain.

I use this on my dirt bike and one of the issues with cable lube is all of it slinging off once you ride causing it to get everywhere on your bike and making the lube ineffective. I can say with experience this hasn’t slung off on me while riding.
