Whenever I drink a soda at home, it is always a Zevia soda. Dr. Zevia has a slight cherry flavor and is similar to the other Dr. I have noticed very little aftertaste from Zevia soda, much less than from regular diet soda. From the reviews I've read, it's clear that you either really like this soda or you don't. I really like this soda. I was a big consumer of the other diet Dr. and both big-brand diet colas for many years. I really didn't like the artificial sweetener in the average diet soda. Thank you to the people who make Zevia soda. It is more expensive than regular soda, but I think it's worth it. It is great to be able to enjoy a diet soda that tastes great and contains nothing artificial. My only negative comment would be about what happens when you pour Zevia soda in a glass over ice. The carbonation seems to dissipate very quickly when poured over ice. Not to worry. Drinking it right out of the can works fine for me.

I have tried all Zevia flavors. I lived on about (6) 20oz Mountain Dews a day. ( Minimum ) I didn't have any health problems but I felt I needed a change. I tried every diet soda imagined. Nothing came close to satisfying my urges to guzzle the Nectar of thegods ( MTN DEW ) I found these 6 Zevia flavors replaced my Dew habit. Strawberry, Grape, Caffeine Free Cola ( Reg Cola was terrible ) Cherry Cola, Dr. Zevia and Black Cherry. The rest were undrinkable...especially Mountain Zevia. Don't get me wrong I still breakdown about once a month and pop the top off a DEW but it has lost it's grip on me. I am on the subscribe and save program.

If you like to drink soda, and the sugar is too much for you or you must stay away from it, or you do not want to put those artificial sweetener chemicals in your body, this may be right for you. Although it lacks some of the sweetness that we're used to enjoying, it is still flavorful and very refreshing. It does not take much to get used to it. The Stevia is a natural sweetener coming from a leaf. The Zevia All Natural Black Cherry is my favorite.

I have been a diet soda drinker since I was a kid . I have tried everything, but because of sodas like Zevia I am able to cut out the chemicals provided by artificial sweeteners. Sure it may not taste like the chemical Diet Dr P*pp*r , but its lighter and very fizzy goes down nicely and its refreshing. I personally love the flavor, Dr Zevia, Zevia Cola, and Zevia Ginger Ale, Zevia Orange are my favorites. Another thing I notice, is that if I have an upset stomach, the Zevia sodas settle my upset tummy beautifully. It might be just me, but I do notice that happens sometimes. I have nothing bad to say about this soda. If you are used to chemicals then you are gonna miss the chemical tastes which are created to make us want more. However with these natural sodas and natural foods it does take a little bit of getting used to, but I really have to say that I enjoy this soda brand more than any other because its more healthy than other sodas and it tastes good.. so it fits my bill of requirements.

I agree that right out of the can this product tastes awful. But I realized what was missing. It was the cherry flavor found in Dr. Pepper. So I bought a bottle of Torino sugar-free cherry flavored syrup (clear, and made from Stevia extract), and now dr. zevia tastes like Dr. Pepper. It's great!

While I enjoy the taste of Dr. Zevia for itself, the DH doesn't enjoy it at all. (He was really hoping for something closer to the original.) That and the fact that it is only available in cans is the reason that I'm giving it 3 stars.Neither of us thought that it has an unpleasant aftertaste, and it's not over-carbonated. (Some sodas are so fizzy that it feels like you're drinking flavored foam.) However, the reddish coloring stains like the blazes. A few drops got on a light green table cloth, and even a stain stick didn't get it out. Ugh. Between the aluminum cans, the staining and the fact that I'm the only one who likes the taste, I probably won't be buying this often, if at all.

I have been using Zevia products for a couple of years now and they are wonderful! I have issues with Candida overgrowth and diagnosed pre-diabetic so this is ideal for me and really tastes wonderful. Also Bolo does a "subscribe and save" on this one so I always have it on hand. Both my husband and I drink it because we missed drinking Dr. P*pper. But also try the Ginger Root Beer and the Ginger Ale, two of our favorites. We also drink the Orange and Lemon/Lime Twist on occasion. They have other flavors as well if you look it up here on Bolo.Another thing to note is you don't get the phosphoric acid and high fructose corn syrup that so many soft drinks have. Phosphoric acid ingested regularly will break down the calcium in your body and can create weak bones and teeth. So find something else to drink besides sugary sodas and juices, like Zevia.(Sorry that last bit sounds like a paid endorsement, but I like this product that much!)Hope this is helpful.Cheers!

I purchased a case of this product in the hopes to find an alternative to the high calorie, high sugar beverage I normally drink. Dr Pepper has been my favorite for years. I have tried other beverages that were supposed to be cheaper versions of it, only to be disappointed every time. I thought, with this version (Dr Zevia) being so much more expensive and using stevia to sweeten as a healthier alternative than sugar, that this would likely be closer to the brand name beverage it was trying to be like. Unfortunately, I found it not only wasn't closer to the flavor, it was much worse than any I had tried in the past! It was like drinking carbonated cough syrup! I did not return it because my son decided to drink it and suffer through it to try to reduce his caloric intake, but if he wants more of it, he will have to buy it himself. I will never again spend 4 times the amount I spend for the real deal, just to be disappointed by what is expected to be a high quality product.
