These red kernels pop up to the most beautiful glowing white popcorn I've seen. Both the taste and texture are perfection. I'm looking forward to trying the other varieties, but the red kernel popcorn will forever be a staple in our household.

The popcorn has less husks, which is important! I eat hot air popped corn most evenings and I had enough of the yellow and white popcorn creating lots of husks. The red popcorn kernels mostly pop, so I have less kernels at the bottom of the bowl.

These corn kernels have much more flavor than the ones you get at the grocery store, by Big Popcorn. However, there were quite a lot of duds.

I make popcorn the old fashioned way: on the stovetop in a large kettle with a tiny amount of coconut oil. These red kernals produce a red centered butterfly shaped flake that is slightly smaller than traditional microwave or movie flake. There are very few old maids which indicates the freshness of the kernals. I am looking forward to making my way through this 6lb. bag so I can try the remaining 12 varieties. In addition to what's mentioned above, I will be repurchasing the Amish Country brand in the future because of their non-GMO and preservative free practices.

This popcorn popped up fluffy and tasty even without butter and with just sea salt as a seasoning and no popcorn machine needed. Worked better in my stainless steel pot with good fitting lid than my cast iron skillet, simply used around 3 tablespoons of coconut or avocado oil per 1 cup of red corn kernals. Thanks for growing nutritious and delicious corn!
