There are so many companies that advertise quality dog food ingredients and small kibble. Unfortunately, after buying many many brands, I discovered that the ingredients caused allergies, GI issues or the kibble was not small at all! My sister's Yorkie was doing great on Science Diet so I decided to try it for my dog too. This kibble was WAY FRESHER than ANYTHING I have ever purchased! It smells fresh right out of the bag and remains fresh thanks to the Velcro closure on the bag's top. My dog was able to transition in about 4-5 days and could chew MUCH BETTER than with anything else I have gotten before. The kibble is seriously small ( about as small as a baby aspirin !!!,) Spanky loves this food too . Before he rarely seemed very interested in his food , now , he waits for me to get him some ! Absolutely , no bad breath because no chunks of food residue from oversized kibble he couldn't chew . I'm convinced there's no better product for a small dog . I buy the small bags here on Bolo because it comes fast and is very fresh . Quite happy 😁

My miniature poodle had been irregular in her eating habits with the original food. She would often just ignore it until the evening. Putting the bowl down and taking it away was no solution. When I tried, thus, to bring about scheduled feedings, she sometimes failed to eat at all! When I switched to Science Diet, she was enthused at the aroma-- even more I opened the bag. She ate the first portion heartily. Within a few weeks she had added 15% to her body weight. I then cut back slightly on the portion as she was appearing a bit chubby. She is sometimes irregular in her eating, but she always manages to leave a clean bowl by late afternoon.

This is a good food for my small dog. My dog is 3 pounds, and this is one of the smallest pebbles I've seen. It is good for small dogs.

My little Chihuahuas love this my two and a half pound Chihuahua loves this and my 13-year-old chihuahua has little to no problem eating this they are super tiny bites I have bought multiple times and will continue buying this definitely worth the money

This specific formula provides a balanced diet for dogs, but there are a few minor issues that prevent me from giving it 5 stars.My first impression of Hill's Science Diet Small Paws Dry Dog Food is that it was formulated specifically with small breeds in mind.
