This traditional Black Forest cuckoo clock has hand-painted Gentian and Edelweiss flowers which are typically found in the Alps. The cuckoo calls on the hour and is followed by an echo and by one of 12 alternating melodies. The cuckoo and the music turn off automatically between 10.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. or they can be turned off anytime manually. The clock is personally signed at the back by the manufacturer Adolf Herr . His signature guarantees the experience of 7 generations of clock-workmanship. This clock comes with a certificate of authenticity (AHC). Clock Movement: Battery operated movment with manual and automatic night-off (Sensor). Musical Movment: The music can be turned off separately. I love how beautiful the details and craftsmanship is on this clock. The Bird that comes out and the music adds so much warmth to the house. It was our 20th anniversary and my wife was delighted to receive this gift. I like how easy it to turn off the sounds if needed . I would definitely recommend buying one.

We use these 15 Cuckoo Clocks for our company Christmas party as a gift to our managerr, last december 21, two of them advise to me that are not working properly. How we can return and replace for a new one.Thanks

The clock looks great! Pay close attention to the size, because it is smaller than I had imagined; however, the dimensions were written in the description. But then you will see the weights are made of solid plastic and are there for decoration only. I think it is important to know if you are in search for a real clock. The bird is also made of plastic and when it sings, it sounds like a cheap recording one would hear out of a child's toy. I had to send it back and will look for one that is really authentic or at the very least, traditional. My guess is, if it holds batteries, then this is most likely not a functional clock. This has been my experience and i hope it helps.

This clock has more plastic than wood. The most disappointment was the doesn’t tick tick but the worst is the cuckoo is a digitalized cuckoo instead of the real thing. I’ve left it up, because it’s pretty. But, I wanted the real thing!
