The parents kiss in time to the cuckoo call, which is once on the half hour and on the full hour according to the time. Two alternating melodies - Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer - play every hour. Meanwhile the siblings rock happily on the see-saw and the water wheel turns. The figurines on the balcony, who are wearing the Black Forest costume, dance around to the music. The clock is personally signed at the back by the manufacturer Adolf Herr . His signature guarantees the experience of 7 generations of clock-workmanship. This clock comes with a certificate of authenticity (AHC). Clock Movement: 8-Day(weekly wind-up) Regula rack strike movement with night off. Gorgeous handmade carved clock. Detail is incredible including the faces, the small animals, the details on the house. Don't settle for cheap quartz models. Beautiful artwork hanging on the wall. The cuckoo and melodies are happy. Cozy feeling when this is in the room. Arrived very well packed and in excellent condition. Easy to set up. Make sure to use a long screw into a stud at a 45 degree angle to support the weights. This is an eight day clock. Heavier weights than a one day clock. Nice not to have to adjust weights daily. Easy night shutoff . This happy clock makes me smile!

I followed all of the instructions and videos to make the clock strike the cuckoo and the dancers dance. I could manually pull on the chain and the cuckoo would strike and the dancers dance, however the children on the seesaw only would move once. I had a contactor help me install it and make sure it was level and we both worked for 2 hours and could never make it work. Kept perfect time. Beautiful clock, shame it wouldn't work. I almost called a clock maker over to the house but then again, as much as I paid for this clock.
