5.0 out of 5 stars The best option you would find for wall mounted TV
This kit is simple and complete for wall mounted TVs, would fit most needs behind your TV. It is made with quality and great finish, comes with the high voltage box, a regular 15 amps/125 volts two outlet (careful, the picture shows one with a let, that is not what comes with it), decorative cap for the outlets with the screws, and it is recessed to provide some in-wall space for the power cord male plugs. In the other side, the white brushes are not too soft or too stiff, perfect to stay on place to cover the hole while allows to pass any cable(s) to communicate with your TV (I ran 2 HDMI and one audio stereo cable for additional A/V IR remote control). Behind the brushes, it has small plastic structure that helps to hold/support the cables, so they won't get lose or fell inside the wall easily. Additional, it allows to hide the extra cable inside the wall.It is easy and simple to install, the instructions are written inside the box, as well as the cut out template. If you want your super flat panel very close to the wall to looks like a hanging frame picture, this box would allow you to do that also.About price, this option would help you to avoid the hassle of many individual parts adding cost + S&H. One kit at good price, one shipment.Don't think it more if you are mostly running HDMI cables and power cables. You would be happy |:-)
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install
My husband hid this behind our tv in bedroom. Works great to hide wires. Good quality and safety.
5.0 out of 5 stars My go-to
Very easy to install. This is the media box I use. Period. Well worth the price!
4.0 out of 5 stars Looks great but plastic box.
Looks great and while there seems to be many other brands on Bolo here that have a similar product I went with this one hoping for a slight better quality. One thing to note is the plastic old work box that many other reviews mention. I took a star off for that but also because the instructions never tell you that there is a metal version of the plastic box that includes metal knockouts. It’s called Pass & Seymour M118W and you probably can’t find it on Bolo here. I ended up getting it and and it fit perfectly in this wall plate. Probably because it looks exactly like the plastic box but it’s metal. In the end the metal box alone cost more than this product. Just keep that in mind if your local codes require a metal box.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality and cost effective
Used this for my newly mounted TV. I was back and forth on this kind of product with a hardwired outlet or the one with an in-wall rated "extension" cable that plugs into another outlet.Obviously, I went with this one. The kit itself has everything you need to install this (template, outlet, etc) but does not include any electrical wire such as romex. I was fortunate to have an outlet high up on the wall between the two studs I wanted to place this new recessed outlet. All I had to do was remove that old outlet, pull the romex down to the new location, and install everything. The romex pulled through the new gang box with ease and connected just fine to the new outlet. I used some fiberglass rods to pull my HDMI and CAT6e cable up from the bottom of my wall (which I also used a Legrand brushed cover to match the top). If you're looking for some cheap fiberglass rods, Harbor Freight has decent quality ones that should do the job for this pretty easily.Once everything was pulled, I tightened the screws on the front of the plate and the entire recessed portion felt very secure on the wall. Highly recommended, just be sure you know what you're doing with the electrical wires or hire an electrician!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality Product For The Price
Some electrical knowledge is needed to install this product, as you area dealing with outlets, electrical wiring, electricity, etc. This product was a really great buy. It was actually slightly larger than I expected from just quickly looking over the pictures. Not in a bad way, just surprised me a bit.Installation:I had an outlet across from a stud on the floor level that I connected this outlet to with a 12 gauge electrical wire (see this product here: https://www.Bolo.com/Southwire-28828226-SIMpull-residential-electrical/dp/B0069F4CXQ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&qid=1589815776&refinements=p_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A6426161011&s=lamps-light&sr=1-1)Knowledge on how to link two outlets, the safety and fire code for electrical outlet wiring, knowledge on drilling through studs and cutting through drywall is needed. I highly recommend you do your homework on installing these things before buying.All-in-All, this was a 4-hour including a trip to home depot and lowes to get the right wiring and electrical tools for the job, some patch to repair the drywall (needed to put in another hole to run the cable), texture, and paint.(The picture does not show the painted section just yet) but it sits flush in the wall, it's durable, and it provides electricity to the TV while hiding the cables. It was a great buy.
Perfect fit, very well built, I have more than I have expected.
I'm really satisfied of this product and I recommend to everyone who like to install their tv on the wall. It's perfect to hide wire in the back of the tv and having great installation overall. I'll probably install my basement tv in the same way and probably buy it again. Thanks for this super solution!
Works with decora inserts
The plastic is durable and has four swing tabs that secure it to the wall. This has a decora brush insert for AV and network cables to pass through. It can be changed to use keystones if you have the keystone decora insert.I install TVs on the wall and run the cables, this helps when clients don’t already have power behind the TV. One of these requires an electrician to do the outlet.
Highly recommend
Fast delivery and exactly how it shows on the website, fits perfectly and easy to install.
Delivered fastand easy to install.
Great way to hide cables. It could use a connector so it can be used with conduit, i had to make up a connection on my own.
Stop searching, great product with everything included.
Don’t bother buying something else. I searched many days for the perfect product and decided to go with this one as I found a refurbished. Wasn’t sure but everything you need is included in the box. The plastic doesn’t feel cheap at all and the back hook are metal made, so don’t feel they will break when trying to lock them. Very happy with my purchase.
