The Pronto is built with the latest sensor technology to ensure an accurate and immediate response for the fast-paced chef and features an enlarged weighing platform to accommodate larger bowls and food items. The ultimate companion for the serious cook, the Pronto's large Unit button lets you change the unit of measurement with push-button ease, with 6 different units to choose from (g, lbs, lbs:oz, oz, ml, kg) - e.g. easily convert 539 grams to 1.188 pounds to 1 pound 3 ounces to 19.01 ounces to 539 ml to 0.539 kg. The large LCD provides a wide viewing angle. Manufactured to rigorous quality specifications, the Pronto weighs up to 11.24 pounds (5100 grams) in graduations of just 0.04 ounces (1 gram) to help you achieve your diet and health goals. The Pronto comes equipped with an ever-handy Tare button that subtracts the weight of any bowl or container to calculate the net weight of your ingredients. The Pronto's Tare and Unit buttons provide an audible and tactile click confirmation, so you never have to push twice when preparing meals in a hurry. Both the Unit and Tare buttons are separated from the weighing platform to prevent movement when pressing either button, ensuring the highest accuracy. Elegantly designed and available in multiple colors, the Pronto is sure to complement any kitchen decor. The Pronto also doubles as a postage machine for mail or a scale for children's science projects. The Pronto cleans quickly and stores easily, runs on 2 AAA batteries (included) with an easy-access battery compartment, and features a programmable 2-to-5-minute automatic power-off setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get This If You're Looking For A Digital Scale!
In need of a digital scale, I was originally drawn to the ones with a large, flat surface. However, I was intrigued by this one with its smaller footprint, and I couldn't be happier with it.I love its simplicity. I don't want needless settings and features (to break) and I don't want it talking to me lol. There are two buttons on it, one to choose among 5 measuring units (I use the oz or gram) and the "Tare" button, which turns it on, off, and resets to zero.Don't be deceived by the scale's smaller surface in the form of a disc. There isn't one thing I've been unable to measure. If necessary, I can place a bowl on the disc to make weighing certain things easier. I've also used reusable plastic containers. Another handy item to use if you can't place something directly on the surface (or simply don't want to) is a coffee filter. I've used those to weigh cheese and chicken, then just toss them. If you need to weigh liquids, any measuring cup will fit on that base.Just remember to place whatever container you're using on the unit FIRST, notice its weight, THEN hit "Tare." This will reset it to zero so the holding item isn't factored in the weight. (Even toweling or coffee filters have weight.)Another nice thing about this is that it used 2 regular AAA batteries. I don't like button batteries because I find them hard to insert/remove, and they're more expensive, so I was happy that this unit doesn't use them. The display is very basic, with no blue backlight, for those that want that. The numbers, however, are large and it's still easy to read. And what a value at this price! The unit is intuitive and user-friendly, but the instructions are comprehensive for those who want to look them over.I was in the market for a scale, and NOWHERE did I see a selection as large as Bolo's. If you need a simple digital scale, get this one! You won't be disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with the Ozeri ZK14-S kitchen scale.
I researched various kitchen scales because I'm just starting to mill & bake my own bread. Had years of experience with quick breads out of a box, beer bread, homemade zucchini, banana & pumpkin breads but always felt making homemade yeast breads was a bit intimidating and time consuming (did not want to fail). I'm also going to introduce ancient grains as I progress for healthier breads. I noticed many recipes are in metric and I don't have the inclination to learn to convert in my head (in my USA culture & growing up we don't use metric but from research I get that it is suppose to be more accurate although I don't recall ever having an issue using our traditional volume measures). The Ozeri digital scale had every feature I wanted for my first scale including a great price of $11 (in case I didn't like it or as sometimes happens the product breaks in short time frame) and a bonus feature. Sometimes the Bolo reviews can leave one bewildered as to what to really expect. So far I'm glad I chose the Ozeri. I can't review its longevity yet but these are the features that helped me decide on the OzeriA. Goldilocks size (just right! Not too big/too small). There is already enough stuff taking up counter space.B. Goes to 2 digits on OZS, some reviews said it only went to 1 digit (yes I'm going to be using grams but I still have a gazillion recipes that use traditional measures).C. TARE function - awesome. I wouldn't buy a scale that doesn't have TARE feature.D. Good response when adding ingredients, can lag a second but seems other inexpensive brands are the same or worse.E. It holds/displays the value for 2 minutes by default. Bonus: instructions say it can be set to hold for up to 5 minutes (not verified). That is nice option for those days I'm not operating at peak baking organization.F. Has rubberized feet to hold in place but still movable (not suction cups to battle with).G. MAX Weighing over 13 lbs. Not sure I will need that much unless I get really good at bread baking. Others stop at 11 lbs. Like it when a product offers a little extra.H. Easy to use. Two control buttons. Can move through the various Units (6 total) and it remembers initial value.I. Large display although the Units can be hard to see (probably more a function of my eyes than the scale) as you scroll through them. Not a show stopper but if I graduate to a new scale that will be on my want list.J. Uses 2 AAA batteries. I'm grateful power plug not required, small counter space and few accessible outlets.K. Great price.L. 1 year warranty. Hopefully won't need to verify. Offers another year but kinda gimmicky/phishing so I won't be getting it. But I get it, it's marketing.M. It comes in various colors. i dont care unless the only color available is one I don't like. If anyone is still reading and cares I got the silver/black.It's early days but right out of the box I'm happy I chose the Ozeri Pronto. Also it shipped very fast (2-3 days) and n shipping damage.
5.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive And Good Accuracy
UPDATE: I thought this scale was slightly "off" in its precision, but after more use, I think it's actually quite precise. I've updated my review to 5 stars.I have and love my Escali scale, but this is a good, inexpensive backup. It is mostly plastic and doesn't feel as substantial as an Escali, but it's fine. When it arrived, I tested its measurements against both an older scale and a new Escali. This Ozeri was slightly off in every test -- I tested very light, medium, heavy items and the tare function. Not a huge difference -- the weight was off by about 2 100ths of an ounce (sometimes it weighed a little more, sometimes a little less). That's a very, very small difference and, upon more use, I now realize it's more accurate than I initially thought. The instructions do remind you that the item must be in the center of the scale (and it does weigh a little more "off" when the item is off center). After more use, I now believe this and the Escali are equal in their weighing precision. But, it does feel less substantial and more cheaply made compared to the Escali. I still have my 17-year-old Escali that continues to work well. I don't expect this Ozeri to last 17 years, but it's a great value (half the price of the Escali) and works well and it is very precise in its weighing -- and that's the main thing.
It works well, last a long time and easy to clean.
It works as designed, easy to use, can handle large and heavy bowls of food. The display is easy to see and you can switch between grams and ounces. I've been using this daily for a couple of years and still have not changed my batteries. It's easy to clean.
