We remodeled our kitchen and needed a new switchplate that had a square opening. Since the cabinet was blue, we wanted a blue switchplate. The color doesn't match perfectly (that would be impossible). We may paint the switchplate with paint from the island, but until we do that, it still looks great.

I installed my Renu on a sunroom outlet and it looks great. See attached photo. I will now complete the room with the same. No complaints. There are some areas in my home I will not install Renu and will stick with standard devices.The Renu device (switch, outlet, etc) and Renu wall plate must be paired together. They are proprietary. Standard wall plates and devices will not work. The Renu looks good on a fairly straight wall and properly mounted box. The Renu is not that forgiving if the outlet (or switch) box is not mounted straight or other poor workmanship. Since the plate snaps to the top and bottom of the device gaps will result if installed on a poorly installed box or uneven wall.
Perfect for our island outlet
The product arrived quickly and was accurate of description and colour. I love the clean lines. Paired it with the same colour 20A gfci. Looks great. I wish I had bought all of the Renu switches, outlets, and cover plates instead of decora. The Renu screwless wall plate is much better than the decora screwless wall plate that is two-layered, trapping dust and dirt in the middle of it.
I should have listened to the reviews
I should have listened to the negative reviews on this item. This doesn't seem to fit on any outlet plate. Even with a standard backing attached, it doesn't snap on. It's an irregular size. I managed to stick one of them on top of an already existing plate but using double sided tape.
Exactly what I needed
I was not able to purchase a plate anywhere to suit what I needed and this is the exact one. Easy to install.

Used this to fit a Renu GFCI outlet together with a standard Decora switch. As it's designed to work with Renu products, it clips into those no problem.The problem though when you have a "multiple gang" situation with more than one switch or outlet is if you can't/don't use all Renu switches/outlets then you're only going to get it to snap into those type of outlets.So, Leviton sells an adapter plate/ring to use on "standard" Decora outlets--this is p/n REA00 (with a 3-character suffix for one of three colours). One problem is finding that piece. Some places sell it, many do not, sometimes it's stupidly overpriced--it's only meant to cost $1-2 but many places sell it for way more than that. Anyway I should probably make a review of that piece on its product page/listing instead of talking too much about it here.Long and the short of it is, in theory, you use that adapter and now standard Decora outlets/switches "become compatible" with the Renu wallplates. In reality it's a bit more tricky than that and getting it lined up/snapped in, etc.--there's a lot of fiddling and adjusting to do and honestly taking the plate off/on (since it'll always snap into the full Renu part fine) is pretty tough. It almost seems like something is going to break each time you do it, so you have to be careful. Thankfully nothing broke and I got it on there what I'd say is "pretty good, not perfect".It should be noted if you are lucky enough to be able to use all Renu stuff, you should have a much easier time. In my case I wanted a motion sensor for the light switch and to use a Renu GFCI. Unfortunately Leviton does not make a Renu-type motion sensor (and the Leviton motion sensors don't work well with 3-way either, but that's another story/review).And yes I intentionally "2-toned" my outlet as in the picture as my garage floor is blue, my lower garage wall (concrete) is a grey/blue shade, so it seemed a nice combination. I thought about dismantling the [Lutron] motion sensor switch and painting the parts a similar colour to the GFCI navy blue outlet but then I figured that was too much hassle and the walls are white so I'm satisfied with how it looks. The entire idea of Renu of course is you make things whatever colour you want...so that's what I did.In terms of the system versatility it's great. In terms of compatibility with non-Renu stuff...it's less than ideal. In terms of finding the parts in the colours you want...well that's a whole other story and YMMV on what you want and what you can find. The colour plates are realistically supposed to be only $2-5 each but again like the adapter ring/plate, sometimes you can only find them for some absurd price. Thankfully I got what I needed at proper prices so I'm a happy camper.
