4.0 out of 5 stars I eat it often for digestion.
Good tasting brown rice and my old digestive system likes it, lower in arsenic...A bigger bulk bag would be nice...

5.0 out of 5 stars This is real Basmati Brown Rice
I had been getting Basmati Brown at the Chinese store by the 20 pound burlap bag until they stopped carrying it about 6 months ago. My fallback had been expensive Texmati from Walmart, but they stopped carrying it at about the same time. We've eaten only this rice as a staple for years now several times per week and use a Zojirushi cooker. In desparation, I got ripped off on the Bombay Basmati Brown from Bolo and it was not Basmati rice IMO, but brown mush ... plus, I thought it was a big bag for $17 but was a mere 2 pound bag (maybe my fault on that). That was the only rip-off from over 100 Bolo purchases and this is why I am writing this review. The Lundberg rice is as good as I've ever had taste-wise and smell-wise, the price is reasonable, and I like the 6 count of well-sealed 2 pound packages.

The very best flavor and texture.
3.0 out of 5 stars Tastes Better Than It Did Yesterday.
ETA Ok in fairness, I reviewed this product yesterday, I was not impressed with the rice at first serving,BUT Today, I opened up the rice container and what hits me in the nose is Basmati aroma, Why this rice didn't smell like this last evening after cooking is beyond me. I didn't have any other strong cooking orders going on at the time.Today the scent was very pleasant. Identifiably Basmati. I heated a bowl with some Siraracha and a sprinkle of parm cheese and other than the rice being slightly underdone and a bit al dente it was pretty good. The flavor had time to develop overnight (I guess) and it was pretty good.It didn't have that cardboardy taste this afternoon, So I'm thinking I need to increase the amount of water slightly and see what that does.I just wished it tasted like it did today last night. We eat a lot of rice in our household, many types from Black rice to off the shelf cheapy stuff. This Lundberg Basmati rice had a lot of green rice and some husks, it was clean though, there was no clouding of the water as I was washing it.I used the recommended amount of water and a bit of butter in my rice cooker. An old style Zoji. The rice smelled like brown rice as it cooked, It didn't have the nice scent of Basmati at all. When it was done, the rice had stuck to the bottom of the rice pot. Something that rarely happens here. The rice tasted like cardboard. Not even a hint of basmati flavor that I could discern.Even my husband commented that the rice tasted odd.oh well. This product is off my list. We have bought plain old Kroger brand brown rice that tasted better than this.
