5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Professional Pan
I like the weight, the handle and the size of the bowl. Easily making a pasta dish for 2-3 people. Good quality overall. Careful cleaning though, one does not want to put too many swirl marks on it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pan for pasta!
Bought this primarily as a pan for making pasta, and it has not disappointed. I am super happy with this purchase and now use this for many things while cooking. Easy to clean and has great heat distribution. Would recommend to any cooks wanting something similar to a wok, but is stainless steal. Do keep in mind this wont replace a wok if you like to cook things like fried rice or starchy food!
4.0 out of 5 stars A great pan...
...for a taller chef. At 5'6" the upward angle of the handle and that it's about an inch too short for two-handed techniques for me means I don't feel in control of the pan. It's well recommended and appears well made however and sadly, I'm returning it for the above reasons.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pan for finishing pasta dishes
I bought this pan on the strength of a review on Serious Eats. It does exactly what they said it would. I have only used it for finishing pasta dishes. For the price it is still well worth having one of these pans even if that is all you use it for.
5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a really great tossing pan really a mini wok.
I don’t understand the people that say this is a terrible hard to clean and everything sticks pan. I don’t think they seasoned the pan properly or use the pan the way it should be used. If you do everything correctly this pan is scorching hot on low to medium heat, cooks incredibly well and is very easy to toss and seer food properly. It is also very easy to clean afterwards. But you must immediately upon completion of cooking wash it with a damp sponge in very hot water dry it put it on the flame just like cast-iron and then give it a quick seasoning. I use refined coconut oil. I have zero complaints and nothing sticks at all.
5.0 out of 5 stars The secret ingredient for perfect pasta
Perfect for pasta finishing: deep and rounded, lightweight, fast to heat, indestructible interior, and big enough for 4-6 servings. Pasta finishing is quick and easy and very consistent using this pan. (Finishing is using starch-laden pasta water as the last step of mixing sauce with pasta, this is the key point to making silky smooth pasta; absolutely essential to recreate Italian recipes)
1.0 out of 5 stars Quality of product is poor
Stains and shows spots after only a couple of uses…
5.0 out of 5 stars BEST PASTA SAUCING PAN
Best pan to sauce pasta hands down. Was tired of splattering everywhere while vigorously mixing using a skillet, so instead I used a high walled sauce pan to skip on the stove cleaning. Sauce pan was tough to mix hard and wouldn’t emulsify the sauce well. In comes this pan, found it as a recommendation from Serious Eats. I was looking for a saucier but couldn’t stomach the price for the Made In or Demeyere ones. This pan does everything you want to and more! Mix hard as you want and no splatter! You can even toss the pasta in the pan and keep clean. Not only that, it’s really easy to clean the sauce washes off like water! And it’s 40 bucks!! You can’t beat it, big enough to serve a party, small enough to make for one! BUY IT. YOUR PASTA WILL TASTE SO MUCH BETTER WHEN YOU CAN SAUCE RIGHT.
Great pan
Very sturdy pan in its own right, and excellent for the price. I was reminded how much I hate cleaning around rivets, but that's not a failing, just a design choice.Note that the silicone handle does not come off - or at least it's not designed to be removable. It is tolerant of high heat, though, so I don't mind.
Great pan, minor issues
Great heavy pan. Just used it for making carbonara. The shape makes it perfect for tossing the pasta & emolisfying. It arrived with a few minor scratches on the top lip by the handle. Doesn't effect use. Also all 3 of the rivets weren't fully knocked in. Still very sturdy just a bit naff. Would still recommend.
Useable but damaged
Came with medium chips and scratches all around the rim of the pan, overall still effective, but would've been nice if there wasn't sharp bits around the edge due to the damage/defects
Chipped edges
Disappointed with the quality. Out of the box the edge of the pan is chipped in 2 different spots
Déçue
Bel instrument mais, beaucoup trop lourd pour faire sauter des produits, pour une femme de 78 ans.Plus professionnel, vous devriez avertir.Merci
