MG Chemicals 8241 Isopropyl Alcohol 70/30 Isopropyl Alcohol is an electronics cleaning solvent. The liquid is fully miscible with water and a large variety of organic solvents, making it good at dissolving dirt, dust, greases, and light organic contaminants. It is quick drying relative to water and leaves no residue. As it dries, it gives off a light alcohol odor, which is not bothersome and serves as a cue to limit over-exposure due to poor ventilation. Since it is safe for paints, metals, and plastics, the 8241 is widely used to clean a variety of electronic equipment and peripherals. Another use is to wash off harsh organic solvents like acetone that might damage the substrate surface.
Applications
Isopropyl Alcohol is effective at removing oils, light greases, ink, grime, oxides, solder paste residues, adhesives residues, and flux residues. It is recommended for cleaning any of the following:

These are the same MG Chemicals Alcohol Wipes I have been using for decades. Even though the image has a red lid, the item I received had the usual white lid.There are several negative reviews here from people who seemed to not understand that these are not intended to be general purpose cleaning wipes. These are really intended for final cleaning when it is desired to remove all residues from the substrate being cleaned, as is common for people involved in maintaining electrical and electronic equipment.In this application, it is not desired to have a high amount of liquid dripping from the wipe, but just enough saturation to hold a strong solvent so that it is still dry enough to absorb whatever is loosened by the solvent. This also means that the solvent is going to be very strong, and most general purpose wipes aren't going to have 70% of the solution being a rapidly dissolving solvent.So both the reduced level of saturation and increased percentage of rapidly dissolving solvent means that the wipes will dry very fast, most especially when placed on warm surfaces or surfaces that have a lot of drying agents, such dust and dirt. They will even dry in the container after the seal has been removed, and depending on temperature of the storage room the alcohol may completely dissolve in 6-12 months.I find these excellent for the intended electronic applications as well as other uses such as final cleaning on the inside of my car windshield. However, note that the strong solvent should not be used on LCD TVs and monitors as it will permanently damage the coating with even just one cleaning. That said, I find them to be just fine for use on my touchscreen LCDs, such as phones and tablets, as these devices actually have a protective clear cover over the LCD, but YMMV.

These get the job done as a surface sanitizer because they contain 70% alcohol. At least that’s what the label says. I would’ve preferred the pull up action to be a bit smoother but you can’t be too picky considering the limited supply out there due to Covid19. We use them for electronics, eyeglasses & doorknobs, remotes, etc. Happy to get them & will check back to see if in stock again soon. All that being said, we also wanted to point out the info we’ve learned as bible students. This time in man’s history was talked about in the Bible book of Matthew 24:3-14. There it speaks about “the conclusion of the system of things”. Many may have heard it referred to as “the last days”. One of the signs, among others pointing to this time period, is pestilence or epidemics of great proportions. If you don’t own a bible you can read one for free at JW.org. Check it out. Strong and moist. To hard to pull out one at a time. Always getting more than one and hard to put back in. Not cost effective because of this problem.

I have very sensitive skin. If I touch a cardboard box I break out in an itching fit. I was using diaper wipes to have handy in the car and found those would also send me into an allergic reaction. These wipes are perfect. Just water and alcohol. They smell strongly of alcohol but well worth the scent for the ability to wipe my hands off during shopping trips.

The wipes are difficult to dispense because they are doubled over on themselves somehow. Unlike baby wipes, after 3 or 4 uses it did not self-correct. So yesterday, when two came out, I tried to push the second one back in and got my index finger stuck! It was really painful and I had to get my husband help get my finger unstuck. The pointy plastic tabs where the opening at the top is made of very stiff plastic. Oh, and did I mention they are virtually dry? Not much moisture at all, a complete waste of money.

Effective fast drying safe cleaning for electronics
Superb. Really did the job. I wanted to clean inside the drum and connections of my Dyson. These wipes cleared the dust and grease instantly- no effort required. Nice level of moisture- not at all dry. Easy to dispense. A good size too. They are harsh in the hands so do follow the advice to use gloves. I have since used them on various surfaces snd my laptop- great! No smear. Surface dries v quickly and is sanitised as well as physically clean. I will definitely buy again. Quality product. Oh yes- and very quick delivery. 5stars!

Nice pack, works well. But can be tricky to get wipes out correctly. Sometimes they get stuck/I had to bend open the opening hole, not sure what I am doing wrong. Could be easier to use.
