My golden retriever, who swims with me almost daily, received this when she was about 14 weeks old. She loved it then. Now she's 5+ months and STILL loves it as one of her very favorites. Here's why:1. It's skinny so she can hold it in her mouth nicely (like a catch, I guess)2. It floats. In fact, it skips across the water and she loves that.3. It's impervious to everything, it seems. Looks like new still.4. She loves in inside as well as outside. Sometimes she just picks in out of all her toys (and this one has maybe 50 options) and brings it over to play with us.5. I think it feels good with her teething since she keeps returning to it so much.6. I've now spend a LARGE sum of money on this, our first dog, and it's been a hit / miss thing. This toy has all the elementswanted and it's been a good investment. Go for it & you'll be glad you did.

If anyone is considering purchasing this item, I would deter you from doing so. It is a complete rip off. For the price, it is VERY small, very flimsy and I thought I was getting a neon pink one but instead, got a non-neon yellow one. Very disappointed. Will probably return, but was for my dog’s birthday.

My dog loves this toy in the pool!! It floats and he loves fetching it!! He has been able to chew the tail off but it is pretty sturdy overall!

I purchased the minnow instead of the larger flying fish. I'm thinking it's too small for my 90lb child as it fits in her whole mouth lengthwise and also not swallowing it you need to watch your child.This material is the consistency of your silicone spatulas in the kitchen. The minnow is 6 inches long, there is a hole for you to attach string to throw in the lake or pool and connect or pull them back if it's too far out in the water. This toy is NOT a chew toy, it's meant to be a retrieve toy. It's durable enough for continuous throwing and retrieving. She's gnawing at it right now on the bed and there are no teeth marks because she's gentle.Next time I'll buy the larger flying fish, but this manufacturer also has other toys I want to purchase such as crackling giant gummy bears made of the same material. I'm thinking that toy won't hold up though. When I buy it I'll review.

My puppy immediately tore into the fish with it's needle teeth. Maybe a minute later, it had taken the nose off. Now, if you need a flourescent pink tracer to find your dog poop, you are in luck. If you don't want pieces of Chinese plastic passing its way through your canines digestive system, you may want to go elsewhere.

She loves these so much I bought them in multiple sizes & colors. They are kind of floppy at the tail and they glide thru water if you toss them in…I think she feels like she is catching a real fish. :-) Great for dogs who are prey driven.

Not for chewers
My blue heeler chewed up the fish and took a big chunk out of it within minutes. Not sturdy enough for dogs with strong bites.
Not strong rubber
My dog was through it within the hour of playing fetch. He’s a miniature Aussipoo.
