If the octane is too low, fuel can ignite early, causing knocks and pings. In vehicles with knock sensors, lower octane gas can retard timing, reducing performance and fuel economy. This Octain Booster is oxygen sensor safe and safe for use in turbocharged and supercharged vehicles. Will not void OEM/manufacturer’s warranty. Add entire bottle to nearly empty gasoline tank, then fill tank with up to 15 gallons of gasoline. Use every fill-up.

Cannot tell if it worked well or not. My new MB produces a sound the sounds like knocking/pinging. MB replaced the pistons. Knocking sound persisted. I requested MB to check again. They tested the car with 93 octane gas, which I have been using all the time, and still have the sound in certain slopes and turns at low rpm. Then, they tested with 100 octance gas and allegedly did not have the sound anymore. MB then proclaimed that there was nothing wrong with the engine itself.100 octane gas is about 8 dollars a gallon. Cannot use it often. So, I put this booster in with 93 octane tier 1 gas. Psychologically it seemed to help although I would still hear the knocking sound. I assume the product worked a little bit.
