I have tried other brands, but they tend to tear into your skin. Gillette is still king of the shave for having the most comfortable shave. If it wasn't for the extra trimming blade, I would probably still be using Mach 3 razors. Mach 3 always gave the best shave and would last a long time. The shave of the Fusion 5 is a little bit different than the Mach 3, but they are still durable. The thing I love about these is being able to easily trim right under the nose with the trimming blade and to quickly trim the side burns that I have difficulty getting with the main blades.

I've had these on auto order and i was kind of worried since i always used the blue Gillette blades. However, after using these fir about 2 months consistently i can say they are perfect with no issues. I've not once ever had cut or anything. The blades are perfect and sharp out the box but also the back single blade is perfect to clean up side burns. If you genuinely want a all around good blade id have no problem letting everyone else know its good for no matter what you shave. Even my lady steals them from me for her needs and has never had an issue.
