5.0 out of 5 stars Good taste medium size
My 3 year old Boston Terrier likes these. I don’t feed rawhide anymore, not even pig ears (stinky and greasy). These are a good size for him and last a few days.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for my large dogs
My large dogs absolutely loved these as a different treat.
5.0 out of 5 stars My dogs love these!
My mini dachshunds may be only 10lbs but they have the teeth of a German Shepherd! And they love to chew! These keep them busy for at least 40 minutes. They do stink (which the dogs love) so I keep them on hard floors or their beds while chewing.
4.0 out of 5 stars They fill the bill and no digestive problems.
I purchased these for my 17 pound Jack Russell because 50 pieces for 30 bucks sounded like a reasonable thing and I was looking for a cost effective replacement for pig ears (which are apparently hand wrought from 24kt gold now). The trachea fill the bill. My dog likes these every bit as much as he has liked anything else he has ever eaten (being a dog) and I get to feel like I'm continuing to provide my best friend with what's currently considered relatively harmless nutrition in a fun delivery package. Win. Win.They do have a somewhat greasy feel and relatively strong odor (rather like a freshly opened sack of kibble) - which isn't a deal breaker for me. I portion them out by cutting them in half length-wise (doubling the number of pieces) in an ongoing effort to monitor Sam's weight. It will take him the better part of 10 minutes to consume one (he gets one half of a 3 inch trachea nightly). In the three weeks he's been eating these I have noticed an improvement in his breath. Another win. These are imported from Brazil. Brazilian beef and pork producers has been banned from exporting fresh beef and pork products to the US since 2017 and are awaiting clearance to resume export of fresh beef and pork pending safety/quality audits to be conducted by the USDA which are scheduled for June of this year. As these are not a fresh beef product, they are not subject to the ban and are inspected by the USDA before making it into the market place.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dog loves these and no weight gain.
I have a sweet CKS that is prone to weight gain. We tried numerous dog foods and low calorie treats to help her lose some weight. Finally, after no results, I hired a dog nutritionist to help me design an eating plan to help her. One of the first recommendations was to get trachea chews vs. the dried chicken chews I had been using. So, I went to the local pet food store and couldn't find any. So, I checked Bolo and found these. My dog loves them. It takes a good while for her to chew it which is good. And, combined with a prescription dog food, she is finally at a healthy weight.I have purchased these numerous times. Great value as the bag is huge. Always consistent and popular product at our house.
3.0 out of 5 stars Highly Inconsistent in Size, Texture, Appearance, Durability and Quality
I've bought these a few times for my large golden. First time, they seemed a good, seemingly healthy chew treat that he enjoyed. Last time, they stunk to high heaven (which he loved, of course), so I had to make sure they stayed tightly sealed so they didn't stink up the whole house, but they were solid chews that lasted a fairly long time. This latest order, nothing like the first two: no smell at all, but much smaller, inconsistent sizes, a much lighter color, and so thin my dog munches through them almost as fast as a dog biscuit. PRO: My dog likes them. CON: You have no idea what you are going to get; they vary widely in size, texture, smell, appearance and durability. You may get long lasting chews, or you might get thin, brittle treats, smaller than advertised, that are gone in moments.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love them! Only Thing is Sometimes They're Thin
Love these!! They're not as gross looking as I feared and the smell is like chicharrones kind of, lol. Pictured are the mid sized ones, not the biggest or thinnest. These are way better than pig ears that hurt my dog's stomach. He can eat these in about 30 minutes, but the thinner ones are gone in half that time or less.I've got this on subscription and usually they're a good mix of thick and thin, but my last one had so many thin ones that I'm having to reorder it a little sooner.I kind of wish it was sold by weight but I can see how that'd be a pain.
1.0 out of 5 stars Full of mold do not buy!
These were just too good to be true. They had mold on every single trachea! Worst part, we fed them to our two puppies. They were sick with diabetes afterwards and we don’t know why?
The puppies love these. They go nuts when they get them ...
The puppies love these. They go nuts when they get them and they only last about before they are gone. More please
