About this item:
Our black castor oil is made using traditional Jamaican methods that have been passed down for years. Hand-processed castor beans are roasted and boiled, and the oil is skimmed off until no water remains. The result is a light to dark brown, nutty-scented oil that is ideal for many uses. It is great for hair, as it is a moisturizing oil with natural reflective qualities that boosts shine. It can be used on eyelashes to encourage growth, as well as nails to encourage growth and protect from bacteria. Black castor oil can also be used to moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and acne. Skin conditions such as eczema can be soothed with castor oil, as it creates a protective barrier on the skin to lock in moisture. Nutrient-rich coconut is added to castor oil for an extra dose of moisture and skin-healing properties.
How To Use
Apply as desired to skin or hair. Can be brushed through hair as a detangler, used as a deep conditioner or hot oil treatment, or rubbed on skin for restorative moisture. Brush through eyelashes for improved growth and shine, or use on hands to soften cuticles and prevent fungal issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like...smell isn't that bad
i finally purchased this product after seeing Blakizbeautyful on youtube continuously rave about it. I think the smell is hardly noticeable and it definitely fades quickly. The consistency is perfect, nowhere near as thick as straight castor oil, and it feels heavenly on my hair. I have so many different oils. Coconut by itself is worthless on my hair because it's so thin but mixed w. the JBCO it's great. It is a bit pricey but I like it so I think I'll continue to buy it especially since you don't need to use lots of it anyhow. Good product. Oh and I didn't experience any itching.
5.0 out of 5 stars GROWTH
This Jamaican Coconut Black Castor Oil is amazing. Leaves your hair smooth and locked with moisture. I broke my bottle, so I wasn't able to use the oil in its entirety, however when I used it my hair growth increased quickly. I even went on to buy some for my older sister and niece. I live in New York currently, and the dryness in the air made my hair very brittle, especially after living in Atlanta for 7 years. I have thick hair, extremely thick, so my hair can take heat and oil. The bottle is relatively small though given the price of $8. I would recommend buying the Castor Oil and mixing it with coconut oil yourself if you are on a budget. Overall though, this oil is great, I can't express enough how lovely it makes my hair feel.
4.0 out of 5 stars Give it a try!
I found that Jamaican Coconut Black Castor oil works better for my skin instead of my hair. This is still a very good product and I would recommend people interested in this kind of product to give this one a try to see if it works for you. I have very curly, kinky hair and I had better results with the regular Jamaican Black Castor oil in sealing my ends.
5.0 out of 5 stars I cant get enough of this stuff!
I cant get enough of this stuff! The coconut oil blends hides the strong castor oil scent but is also good for my hair. I purchased it to prevent thinning of my hairline when I twist my locs for neatness. Although I did not notice thinning when I started using it, I was surprised to see tiny new curls popping up all over my front and back hairline. I use it a few times a week and once a month as a hot oil treatment.
5.0 out of 5 stars Thick and useful
The smell isn’t the best but it’s bareable. I am using this for beard growth and although I haven’t seen any extra growth, it keeps my beard moist.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love at first use!
This arrived so fast! I it for tried for the first time tonight. I have thick, straight, chin length caucasian hair. I watched lots of videos and read blogs on the best application(damp hair), and although the I just started using it I love it. My hair was left shiny, soft and oh so touchable. Fingers crossed it also helps me grow it out longer, stronger and faster.
3.0 out of 5 stars It is okay.
This is a really good product but a lot of times people don't understand that your ends of your hair is just as important as your scalp. This product does not moisture my ends like the original castor oil. It was awesome on my scalp and the hair part but my ends just seem to stay dry. Overall I would say give it a try because it may work for you. Me? I went back to plain Castor Oil from Tropic Isle Living Jamaican!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars .I would use it again
Good product just smells like cigarette ashes but once you put it in your hair the smell tends to fade out. It makes my hair thicker and helped with the itchness too.
Good value and product
Good product. Smells nice. Needs to come in bigger sizes
Love the results so far
My hair has been very dry recently and has been breaking a bit. I came across this updated version of an old-fashioned remedy and tried it. First application - my hair was really soft and moisturized and not very heavy. 2 days later I applied it again and it is looking great - so once a week application will do from now on. Need to remember that coconut oil turns solid under 72oF so it needs to be warmed up in some hot water. If you have a plastic bottle with a nozzle, application will be easier. Highly recommend this product even though it is a bit on the pricey side.
works
Good product did work made my hair stronger and little tiny bit thicker
Perfect!
I honestly thought I would have to cut all of my hair off (again), due to the amount of damage I'd caused it (again!). Absolutely nothing seemed able to prevent it from thinning, breaking and snapping. This product has worked wonders! My hair has grown longer (without it breaking off at the ends as fast as it grew) for the first time in a very long time and my scalp is feeling healthier too. No more chemicals for me! Coconut/ castor oil is the only thing I'll be using from now on, as a scalp treatment, hair treatment and for everyday curl maintenance :)
Cured my hair loss
I have thick hair after usage
