Absolutely love these markers for sketching they work like a charm. Having different lead point helps to create depth, shadows, and texture in my works. Definitely recommend for those looking to play with more intensive sketching. Staedtler is a well regarded brand for that pursuit.
5.0 out of 5 stars BEST ARTLINERS FOR ZENTANGLE AND BULLET JOURNALING
I have used Staedtler pigment liners for a couple of years. They are by far my favorite art-liner. When I want to do a small drawing, zentangle or write in my bullet journal, this is what I reach for. I think these are far and away superior to Sakura Micron pens in both tip quality, ink flow, and pen material quality for smaller millimeter black pen sizes.The tips are very durable, and work snag-free on a variety of papers. The ink runs out long before the tips wear down. I do get a lot of miles from these pens. There is no scratchy sensation, no snagging, on my journal paper (Pentallic) or on my wide variety of drawing and marker papers.The metal tip casings are perfect for drawing ruled lines, something I often do in my journal. The metal part is long enough to use with most rulers, but not too long to be prone to bending or give an awkward distance from the page.The barrel is what makes the cost of these pens worth it - not too thin or thick, smooth but not slippery. The plastic casing has a slight texture that runs the length of the pen, minimizing slipping and making a more secure grip possible. The caps post very nicely, have never had one get in the way or fall off. The clips wear out over time, but that's not a really important consideration for me. The case that this set comes in is pretty handy.My only wish is that they would make a brush tip and a 0.03 tip for my very-fine, usually small line drawings. If they made them in different colors I'd have the whole stash.

These pens provide a radically better drawing experience than any other pen I've used. The ink is "permanent"; it's supposed to be resistant to fading and waterproof. I haven't tested these traits, but the ink is very black, and I am optimistic about the permanence.They say these pens can be left uncapped for 18 hours before they dry out. I don't intend to leave them uncapped for long periods, but it's good to know they are resistant to drying out.The set of pens provides a nice selection of line widths from very fine hairline to a line bold enough to fill in areas but not too bold to write with. The sense of control these pens provide is wonderful. I expect I will now get more involved with drawing as a result of having these pens. I can easily add fine details to drawings in a way that was formerly impossible.The pens move across the paper without excessive friction; so writing with them is easy and pleasant. I intend to use these pens to take notes in meetings.Many years ago, I used a Rapidograph pen to take notes. I loved the clear, very dark black, permanent lines, but cleaning and maintaining the pen was a chore, and when I graduated from college and no longer took so many notes, I quit using it. These pens provide the control I had with that pen, ink that looks comparable to the India ink I used, maintenance-free use, and fantastic control of line width.It will be interesting to see how they hold up after extended use.

In my opinion, better in every way than the more popular waterproof liner pens from Sakura and less expensive too. Lasts longer. Better line quality on even rough watercolor paper. The nib is hardier and doesn't break down as quickly. The ink is more intense and just as water resistent.

These are excellent pens but they are not waterproof. I painted with watercolir over hatch marks and the ink marks dissolved. Very disappointing because I have to draw the hatching again.

I have been using a different liner (archival) for years. I bought these on a recommendation from an instructor. Best pens ever. They come in very thin to thicker line pens. The felt is longer than I’m used to, so I’m expecting a longer life of use. I highly recommend!

My rankings of top writing pens (all deliver excellent overall line/ink quality):1. Mitsubishi Uni Pin Fine Line - good grip, darkest black, best glide, good precision2. Staedtler Pigment Liner - best grip, ok black, ok glide, excellent precision3. Sakura Pigma Micron - mediocre grip, ok black, ok glide, top precisionNote on grip -- I tend to hold pens fairly close to the nib, the farther out you hold the pen, the less of a difference there is between these pens.Overall, my default pen (or especially if I want to write quickly) is Mitsubishi Uni Pins because they glide on paper the smoothest and the ink looks the richest. When I feel like more like using a slightly more comfortable & precise pen, I switch over to the Staedtler Pigment liners. While the Sakura Microns are still excellent pens overall, I no longer use them because they lose in grip comfort to the Staedtlers, and lose in everything except precision to the Mitsubishi Uni Pins.

Bra bläck som går att rita ovanpå akvarell
Har provat flera olika märken av pigment liner-pennor och dessa har hitintills varit bäst på att ge jämnt bläck när jag ritar ovanpå akvarellmotiv. Rekommenderar att prova dessa först innan andra högprofilerade pigment liner pennor.
