This is an excellent heater core.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT fit 2003 Chevy S10 Xtreme 4.3L V6 Manual trans.

Bolo says it fits but it doesn't, the bottom is more squared than the OEM heater core which is rounded. I thought maybe it was the foam tape I put on the bottom but even after removing that it still didn't fit. The bottom of the heater core housing and OEM heater core in my Xtreme is rounded like in the picture with the old brown foam on it. The Spectra being more squared would not go all the way down in the housing because the rounded bottom in my truck. It was my mistake of not test fitting before I put all the foam tape on it but I also ordered the Spectra before removing OEM so that part is my fault. It does appear to be well built heater core but beware it does NOT fit an 03' Xtreme. So now I've got to wait 2 days for the replacement TYC heater core to come Monday plus I pulled the whole dash out of the truck. My advice to anybody doing a S10 heater core just pull the dash out since it's really not as difficult as some make it out to be. I decided to pull it out to clean duct work, clean firewall and put Tesa tape on all the wiring since old electrical tape has lived its life.

Bolo marks this as it fits a 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer, it however does not. I’m sure it’s a great product, seems really well built however it is not the correct one for that year.

Get ready for a frustrating day!

I remember changing the heater core in my '79 - 5.0 Mustang. It literally took me 15 minutes. I pulled the heater hoses off, pulled the glovebox out, took off a metal plate, pulled out the old heater core and installed the new one. Easy peasy. My 2002 Sonoma ( S-10, Jimmy, Blazer ) is a different story. You have to take out every screw that holds your dash on and drop the steering column. Then you have to pull the dash half off to access the core. The nightmare doesn't end there it just gets worse. It was probably a ten hour job. But that's not what this is about. Did the new core work? YES! Many months later it's still working. I just wanted to prepare you for a fun day. Also, if you're doing this you may want to replace your heater blend door actuator which is located close to the heater core. Enjoy!

    Terrible

Installed on early model gmc jimmy and started leaking a week later. Would recommend another brand. Major task to install and now have to do it again. Aggregating and disappointed.
