About this item:
M.G. Chemicals rosin activated flux formula is used in our flux-cored solder wire. Its rapid wetting and fast flowing properties results in consistent and reliable soldering every time. Cleaning becomes optional with our RA Flux core because of its non-corrosive and electrically non-conductive properties. Upper temperature limit : Do not to exceed 260 degree C (tip temperature). color and appearance: Amber Solid. Softening Point, degree C (Flux Extract): 80 degree. acid number (mgKOH/g sample): 150-160. silver chromate (qualitative halides): detection. classification per J-STD-004: ROM1. surface insulation resistance: > 1.0 x 109. shelf life: indefinite. residue removal: Not required.

5.0 out of 5 stars You can’t go wrong with this solder
Always works as expected, very uniform melting point, stays shiny so if you are into looks, it’s good but it’s also just some of the best solder I’ve ever used. good stuff.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
I have been using mechanic solder for my repair business and thought it was good.. kept seeing this was the industry standard I should be using and it is amazing!Solder flows perfect and looks great. Big difference! It is expensive compared to solder in general but the quality is also superior. Highly recommend
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Handy
I love this stuff. I never have any trouble using it unlike others I've had. The gauge is perfect for everything from small, surface mount, through-hole work to bigger components. In the same sitting I can easily replace small capacitors and IC sockets and larger components requiring a lot more solder.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good!
Nice and shiny. Used it to rewire midi keyboard.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it
Great for the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best solder for electronic work
Get this if you want shiny solder joints! Only choice to make is what gauge - I prefer 22ga for fine works. Sn63/Pb37 is eutectic meaning it melts/solidifies at a single temp making it easy to solder your component and it stays in place as soon as you take away the soldering iron. Been using this for 20 years. Good stuff!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Solder
Good wetting, flows nicely and leaves a very shiny surface. It's RA flux so it should be cleaned afterwards but datasheet does say it can be left on the board. I tried a lot of solder as a hobbyist and this stuff wins best bang for buck easily.
5.0 out of 5 stars MG Chemicals Great!
I normally use 60/40 ratio A friend turned me on to this 63/37 leaded and to my surprise It actually was for the the better It made quicker bonds less heat to the flight controllers I was soldering on. It felt all round better so its now my solder of choice hope this helps someone Great product!
Very good solder
This solder is excellent to use on electronic equipment. Easy to use and works well, it's what you need.
This is the stuff that I would definetly write home to mom about
This is the stuff everyone needs to get
Good but pricey for what it is
This is a good solder for general PCB soldering and I've used it for a few projects but for the price, meh...I'm back to using cheap silver infused locally "Sourced" stuff for now which works just as well for most everything I do. I'll probably use it again but when It runs out I won't be getting more right away.
