Had zero issues with these furnace filters. They came in a sturdy box you can store them in and each one was individually wrapped. They seem just as sturdy as the same brand I purchase at the store but cost me a little less since you're buying in bulk. I have enough for an entire year to replace them every 3 months. Just be sure you pay attention to the direction you have to place them into your furnace. I've seen a few reviews were the person put them in backwards and they get deformed pretty bad.

Decent quality filter which usually lasts the full 90 days before needing a change. While still pricey overall these are cheaper than the big box stores.Tip: It helps to write the date on the edge of your filter so you remember exactly when it was changed.

I think that Filtrete makes the best filters. These don't filter out the tiniest particles, but they are decent air filters. I'm not sure if it's better to have higher MERV filters to get tiny particles, at the expense of making the HVAC work harder and move less air, or filters like these that get most large particles but do allow more air flow. I'm giving these a try.

We have a wood burning stove downstairs in the basement, and occasionally we can smell smoke when the wind is blowing wrong. I switched to this filter and we saw immediate improvement. We also have an Ecobee thermostat, and it reports the air quality. It was constantly telling us that we had poor air quality and we should open windows. But that is not a good idea when the ye. Temps outside are sub zero. Since running with these filters, the Ecobee has been reporting GOOD or Fair air quality.
Good value for an effective filter
I bought these because I wanted a thicker filter for our furnace during cold weather. The concern is mainly indoor dust and bacteria getting recycled into the house. This filter works very well.
