This is the third of four Australian Gold tanning accelerators I purchased at the same time. I previously reviewed the first and second ones here: Australian Gold DARK TANNING ACCELERATOR Lotion 8.5 oz (This is the lotion version..) And here: Australian Gold Dark Tanning Accelerator Spray 8.5 oz. (This is the pump spray... It is an exceptional product and I still like it the best.)This product is also a lotion version. How is it different.?? Good question. I think the main difference is consistency. There is also some slight variation in the smell. I looked at the labels on all of the products, and they all appear to be very similar if not identical. I suspect there are some differences in the formulation... hence the different terms used to describe them. Accelerator versus Intensifier for example. There is also the difference in consistency between the lotion and the oil and "gelee". REMEMBER: This is an accelerator.... NOT a bronzer. There is NO COLOR in the bottle.I found this lotion product to perform nicely, although not as well or as easily as the spray. My review on the spray goes into a lot of detail (see link above..) on the four products I purchased and why and how I planned to test them. I won't go into all of that here again.... so suffice it to say, I am not an expert by any means, but I intend to find out which of the four performs best (for me...).So far, I can tell you that I like the pump spray version the best. Here are the reasons..... It is not as messy and is easier to put on. It seems to last better, I guess because you can control the amount you use easier. It seems to tan quicker and easier than the others. (I think this is because it is a much lighter "oil" instead of a "lotion". Why this is true I don't know. Oils just seem to tan faster than lotions..... that's all I know about it.So, having said all of that, I still like this product. It works fine. It's just not as easy to use as the pump spray version and not quite as quick either. Other than that, I think it is a good product. I think this "Gelee" is very similar to the Intensifier lotion previously reviewed (see above..). The fragrance is light and dissipates within a short time. I found it quite pleasant. If you prefer to slather on lotion and rub it in, this product might be fine for you (or possibly the other lotion..??). If you like quick and easy with a lighter touch, the pump spray would be better. Remember, accelerator not bronzer.... If you are looking for a quick overnight "bottle tan" ..... This is NOT it.!!!

I bought this to use while going to a tanning salon. It’s a nice lotion with a sweat scent. Doesn’t leave you greasy feeling and doesn’t leave streaks after tanning.

I am kinda blown away by this product. I am one of those super-white, pasty pale people (you know, that glowing white blob you see on the beach!) and I tan very, very minimally - maybe 1 or 2 shades darker if I am lucky, and that's it. I usually just burn, and only when I burn do I actually go tan (and it disappears within 3-4 days LOL). I laid out in the sun from 1-2pm with this the other day and, while I did get a bit red, I also got the beginning stages of a nice golden glow. (Unfortunately it's only really visible indoors - if I step outside again I'm still totally Casper white LOL). I know I'll need to be consistent to get darker, and am going to try this in a tanning bed next week - but for someone who NEVER gets tan without burning, I am SUPER impressed. The lotion/gel is smooth and silky, not greasy at all, absorbs quickly and smells amazing - like orange sherbet! I went back to work and had no issues with being greasy, oily or gross. For the price, quick results, absorption, feel and smell: 5 stars all around! Can't go wrong, will definitely be getting more :)

LOVE! I was so unbelievably pale and no matter what kind of product I tried, I ended up red and then my skin would just peel off any remaining chance of having a tan. This lotion is amazing and has helped my skin achieve a healthy glow that doesn't make me look sickly. It doesn't have a funky smell to it and is mild enough for me to use in the middle of the day when I go to the tanning salon and be able to go right back to the office without feeling like I need to take a shower. If you have a hard time tanning, I highly recommend this product. My skin always feels soft after I have applied it and it dries quickly. I'm confident it is ten times better than what they sell at the salons and it is certainly ten times cheaper.
