It does the job fairly well. Personally, I do not like the cleaning fluid, but lighter fluid works well with it. You will still need to manually clean with a Q-Tip or Bright Boy on the switches and Kato expansion track. But it is fast, does a good job, and I rather like the abrasive pads. But seriously, not a heck of a lot better than a Bright Boy, a few microfibre rags, and a can of lighter fluid

Purchased this as a gift for my neighbor. I knew he was an HO train buff, but didn't know that he had been looking at kits like this one, but simply hadn't purchased one yet. Long story short...this turned out to be his favorite Christmas present this year! Works great and cuts tracking cleaning time significantly, he says.

The stick is the best part, cleaner and pads are so so. Mr Eraser and transmission fluid work best.
It works well, make it easy to clean track and get hard to reach areas.
It's a very good product but over priced for what it is.

A very useful item
Having just finished my layout and trying the Tidy Track Cleaner. I found it was most easy to use and the good thing was that I could reach areas that would be hard to reach using the long handle like under the station canopy or inside tunnels and other areas that i would have to reach right over my layout..In all a very good and useful item would recommend the item.
