5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLIFY W/ THIS TORTILLA PRESS WITHOUT THE MESS
So I just got this product because I've been seeing my son-in-law use it for about 4 years now and when I was little my mom had us make it tortillas every weekend she had 14 kids so making tortillas for 16 people for the week meant we had to knead a lot of dough might be one of the reasons I have arthritis in my fingers anyways with that being said I never even tried this press all the times I've seen my son-in-law making empanadas and tortillas I never asked him could I see if I can press that but since Bolo offers free shipping and free returns I thought when I get back home I'm going to get me one of those worst case scenario I hurt myself trying to press it on the contrary this thing is so simple you can let anyone use it from the youngest person in your kitchen to the oldest person with arthritis I have degenerated joints as well as arthritis in all of my fingers and wrists the worst part about making tortillas for me is all of the needing and the rolling of the rolling pin again this was so simple and if you parchment paper it makes simple even simpler because now you don't have no mess nothing to clean up even though I wipe down my product before I put it away it needed no wiping it gives you full instructions which I didn't need to look at it was kind of common sense because I used masa some warm water and I put seasonings that I liked in it I used turmeric and black pepper and almost everything that I cook so I put that in there with some salt and pepper garlic and onion powder and Bam I had this tasty tortilla for my chorizo and eggs now I like my tortillas very flat I prefer them flat as a spring roll wrap you're not going to get it that flat but after I pressed it pressed it between the palms of my hands to get slightly thinner and with my last one I didn't do that just to see if I would like it and not only did I like it I loved it especially cuz I had all that flavor in there I would say if you want to save some money on buying dozens and dozens of tortillas you want to get this for me I am the only one in my household who needs a tears I bought it because when I run out I don't like to run out to the store to buy more tortillas but I'm not a bread eater so many times I won't eat if I don't have tortillas when I need them for my food and I need them everyday now me I have tasted tortillas at my son-in-law's house that were sitting in the refrigerator overnight and I personally rather have mine's fresh so I will definitely be using this pretty much every day I'm sure because I eat tortillas if not for breakfast then for dinner I can't speak on the quality right now it seems like it will last a while long as my husband don't touch it never even touch my son-in-law so I didn't know this was metal I thought it was plastic because it looks plastic but I have the gray cast aluminum 8" one like he does because the black one cost like three times more🌮💝🌮
5.0 out of 5 stars Works amazing
This have made my life easy when it is time to make tortillas. They come out perfect every time. It is very easy to clean and there has been no rust or any type of contamination of the metal it is good
4.0 out of 5 stars Does its job
I love how simple this is to use. I would say it's not as sturdy as some other ones you can buy that are more expensive. If, however, you are only an occasional tortilla maker (like myself) this should suit your needs just fine. Remember to find a recipe used for a tortilla press and get ready to get out some frustration. It looks nice, doesn't have a bunch of ridges and is quite smooth. Seems stable enough for my purposes but I used extra flour to prevent any sticking.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I like how it squished the tortillas. Good quality.
3.0 out of 5 stars Seems ok.
I purchased the item as NEW but Bolo sent an open torn package. The item I received has been used and returned as defective.
5.0 out of 5 stars Almost returned
I almost returned this press because my tortillas came out more like naan bread....they were good but way too thick no matter how hard I pressed. After watching several videos I found out this press is used mostly for corn tortillas. To get the really thin flour tortillas you have to use a rolling pin. This still makes great corn tortillas and when I make burgers, I roll the ground beef into balls and use the press to get the perfect thickness. I use parchment paper or saran wrap to keep from sticking. Glad I kept it.
5.0 out of 5 stars It works great!
My mom wanted to get a tortilla press and we looked at a Mexican little market and the one we saw was very heavy, small and expensive, so I bought my mom this tortilla press and she absolutely loved it!
3.0 out of 5 stars You get what tou pay for...
I was so excited to receive this product and that excitement slowly faded away once I opened the packing. It's cheaply made and somewhat feels like plastic. When using the product it did make the tortillas round, so in that aspect it does what it claims to do. I didn't measure the size of the tortilla but they seemed pretty dang small. Overall, I would suggest spending a little more money to get get a product that the durability feels like it will last longer.
É simplesmente perfeita
É necessária uma assim em tuda cozinha 🙌
Good purchase
Easy to useHelping me with making bread
Works well, good price
The press works well. Only minor criticism: the handle is wobbly.
Cumple su función
Me gustó porque es muy ligera, solo le falta hacer sola las tortillas jejeje
Broke after 2 uses
On first inspection it seemed to be of decent quality, but after a few uses paint started peeling at the point where the lever presses against the plate - questionable design if you ask me.The second time I took it out for use, the bottom of the handle cracked when pressing out a tortilla. From that point it was basically useless, and I got a few more tortillas out of it before the handle fully broke off. 0/10 save your money and buy something else
