First time trying nicotin gum. Makes me nauseous for hours at first but they slowly improve. Contrary to conventional thinking Nicotin has many health benefits. I prefer gums over the patches as the patches always make my skin red and itch for days. I like Rugby gums' clean ingredients. Glad they contain Xylitol for dental health. Although the mint flavor does not last, which is okay for me because I know these are not regular gums. Texture is also a bit harder to chew. Within seconds of chewing it tingles my mouth and I felt the nicotin working immediately. They have also reduced my appetite to eat sweets. To me that's like killing two birds with one stone, very efficient.

When I first start chewing, these have almost no flavor and just a tiny bit of sweetness. I like that because if they taste good I chew it up like regular gum and do not absorb the nicotine through my cheek and gums (the quick delivery method). They also don't taste bad or have a weird texture (to me).

The packaging is like a puzzle. I have decent natural fingernails and still struggle to get it open without obliterating the product.I knew this was going to be uncoated. I thought I wasn't picky and it would be fine. I was mistaken. The texture is reminiscent of plucking a blob of ABC gum from under a school desk and chomping on it.If your house is over 75 degrees, the gum is sticky and nearly impossible to remove from the packaging - if you can even manage to peel through the impenetrable fortress to get that far.The mint "flavor" is really more of a suggestion. If you think really, really hard while chewing, about all the mint gum you've ever encountered in your life, you might be able to trick your brain into categorizing this gum as minty, too.The "peppery" taste is also weak. Made me wonder if my product was out of date. But alas, it says exp 2026. Maybe this is just some kind of reverse placebo effect, but I feel the lack of pepperyness makes this gum less effective.Some pros because I don't mean to be too scathing:- probably the most cost effective- stays chewy for a long time and doesn't get hard.- my husband likes rugby (the sport), so I thought buying rugby gum was somehow fun- if you like slime, you'll love getting this stuff out of the packet
