5.0 out of 5 stars great pipe

T. · January 22, 2024

I have always loved pipes and they are getting hard to find and I like a simple one. this one is made very well, it won't fall apart or break. it won't burn up on the inside like some cheaper ones will. it's very easy smoke and comes with a filter tube which I like and buy extras as need. if you nice simple, sturdy pipe at good price look no further

5.0 out of 5 stars Well, blow me down.

I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews on here. But being an experienced pipe smoker I thought I'd give it a shot. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it looks sort of cheap. And yes there's an extension inside the barrel/bowl. However, this being a handmade pipe, that makes sense. Come-on it's an 1869 Country style pipe. What did you expect? I soon discovered it smokes really well and smooth. Rob Roy doesn't get hot, holds an ember and as more sturdy than it appears. Better than some of the $25 or more pipes I own. Right out of the Box. If you worried about the extension and the bottom of the barrel it's there for a reason. If you're worried put a small smoking screen in it. Which is what I did, and it works fine.I tell everyone is 'Popeye's' pipe. I would buy again. Good price for a great everyday pipe.👍

My husband uses pipes like this and has gone through quite a few of them. We spent $40 on what was suppose to be a nicer one and it was a total piece of crap, it broke within a week of having it. So I saw this one and decided to give it a try. It has lasted him longer than any pipe we have bought and it's cheaper than the other ones we bought. It has held together well and he likes the shape/design of it. Very good product for the price. Would definitely recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice smoke break pipe

A.L. · July 26, 2022

Nice little pipe for a smoke break. A full bowl can go 25 - 30 minutes. I've been using the included filter, does not affect the draw and prevents ash or coal from being sucked up.CONThe shank and the bowl are two separate pieces. I've found that they can get a little loose and even come apart when the pipe is hot. I haven't noticed any leakage when they are loose, just a little wiggle. I just try to be gentle with the pipe and snug the shank back into the bowl when I finish a bowl. For the price, overall it is a nice little pipe. I will probably order another to use and leave at work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Pipe but if yours has issues they are easily fixed.

Pipe is great right out of the package but after changing the stem to a forever stem, it smokes as good any pipe on the market. This is my first hardwood MM pipe and its just as good as the cobs. Cant beat for 7 bucks.Theses pipes are mass produced so if yours comes with any issues either either do a return and get a replacement or do a search on the internet and find out how to fix it yourself.I have had a few come with loose wobbly shanks. No biggy, pull the shank out, add a little wood glue andnlet it sit for a day and its good as new.If its drilled too high off the bottom, pull the shank use some pipe mud (ashes mixed with water to make a paste) to raise the bottom, reglue the shank and let the pipe mud dry a day or to and pipes perfect. If your stem fits too tight take a piece of sandpaper and wrap it around the stem where it fits into pipe and sand it just a little till it goes in smoothly and your good to go.These pipes might not be perfect out of the package but just a bit of work and it will smoke as good as any other pipe. I stopped using briars because these Missouri Meershaums with a forever stems are cheap and give you just as good of a smoke. No need to spend $100+. Country Gentleman with forever stem is the best value there is for the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars The shank is too big in diameter it will burn a hole with time (30 days if you smoke a lot)

A.C. · April 5, 2022

Don't buy this product, it is poorly made and expensive for its quality. The shank doesn't fit in the bowel, it gets loose with time since it needs to be glued, also the bottom is poorly made you will never be able to smoke all the tobacco, even by fixing it using pipe mud it wont work, since the shank inside diameter is too big.Another point is, the wood is of low quality, a crack appeared in the bowel with only 30 days of use.The next point, since the shank inside diameter is absurdly big, something like 10mm, tobacco will get inside of it with time and burns inside of it, also burning the shank. You can see in the picture the kind of damage that is caused due this defect over time.I tried to get a refund or a replacement, with the manufacturer. Which said "It looks like the pipe may have gotten set down on something like a cigarette or other burning object. That’s really the only way to get a burn mark like that on the shank. Since the damage was not due to a defect in the pipe itself, I’m sorry but we won’t be able to replace it for you."In resume, this was the most expensive pipe I have ever bought and the worst one, I bought all my pipes in Brazil.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great inexpensive pipe.

Been smoking cigars for years and wife had me change to pipes. Have several pipes but this one seems to be my favorite. Maybe it is just me but i dont really have any burn issues, once I get it lit it stays lit. Also bowl does not seem to get as hot as other pipes, even my more expensive ones. My only issue is a me issue, the slight bend fits my mouth perfectly and pipe is light enough that i like to hold it in my teeth and I can already see teeth marks. I do know there are replacement stems though so If I feel I ever need to replace, it is for sure an option
