Nutramigen is proven*** to manage colic due to cow's milk protein allergy FAST--often within 48 hours. If your baby's having a hard time with his or her feedings, it's probably because their little digestive system is still developing and may need some additional TLC. Fortunately, there's an Enfamil formula designed to help meet these feeding needs.
These formulas are formulated to include a blend of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid), nutrients found in breast milk that help in the development of a baby's brain, eyes, and immune system. Whatever your baby's feeding need, there's an Enfamil formula to help.
If your baby experiences excessive crying or appears colicky, this may be due to the regular infant formula they are drinking. Your baby could have an allergy or sensitivity to the cow's milk protein found in that formula. Nutramigen with Enflora LGG* has been specially designed to help manage babies with cow's milk protein allergy. Ask your baby's doctor if this formula is right for your baby.
What causes a milk protein allergy or sensitivity? A baby's intestine is naturally immature at birth. As your baby feeds, whole proteins are digested and absorbed into the intestine. But occasionally, larger proteins can slip through the immature intestinal barrier.
In infants with a cow's milk protein allergy, these proteins are misrecognized as a foreign body, or antigen, which leads to an immune response, eventually causing the intestine to become inflamed. Prolonged inflammation allows for an increased transfer of antigens, causing more inflammation and discomfort for a baby.
Formulas like this one, designed for infants with cow's milk protein allergy, use proteins that are extensively broken down to reduce allergen exposure and avoid an allergic response.
With the Power of Two, this formula not only has these broken-down proteins--it also has a probiotic that helps the strength of the intestinal barrier. Nutramigen effectively manages colic due to a cow's milk protein allergy fast--often within 48 hours.
With 70 years of proven performance, Nutramigen has long been recommended by doctors and trusted by mom to effectively manage cow's milk protein allergy. Now, with the Power of Two, it also has an extensively studied probiotic for allergy management.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great baby formula
Our baby used this special kind. Easy to get online when could not be found in stores
5.0 out of 5 stars Does wonders
I’d like to acknowledge those whose babies got bad diaper rash from using this. Mine did too. However! It was short lived. She never got diaper rash after the first episode, I suppose her body got used to it maybe. This formula helped my baby be able to keep all of her bottles down.Due to a missed allergy, other formula were not working for her and she was beginning to lose weight. Once we switched to Nutramigen, it was only a few days before we saw just about 100% improvement. Her weight was back up, plus some, by the next Dr visit.
5.0 out of 5 stars A formula that worked for my exclusively breastfed baby
I really didn't want to have to use formula as I nursed my first daughter well after one year old. But it just didn't work out with my second baby (after trying MANY different things to make it work). Before this formula she was always cranky, fussy, uncomfortable and unhappy. The day we gave her this stuff, she was a different baby. She smiled, cooed, and was just all around happier. She spit up a lot with breastmilk and she still spit up for a while on this but she was no longer gassy. It blends pretty easy. It doesn't smell good initially but when I get a whiff of her lovey it ends up smelling sweet like candy. I don't like that the first ingredient is HFC but it is what it is. She is thriving on this stuff and seems to like it so.... One bit of advice, when you first open a new can you'll notice that the scoop is always buried beneath tons of formula. Always save the scoop from the previous can and use it for a bit to work your way down to the new scoop.
5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my little one!
My son had to be given formula at the hospital the first two days when he was born. Nurses told me that they tried a regular formula and he didn't respond very well, so they recommended I give him Soy. I did breastfeed him for a month after that but still had to switch to formula eventually. I gave the soy formula but he seemed constipated and gassy, then tried Gentlease, but that made things even worse. Within a month he developed quite a few symptoms that proved an allergic reaction to the formula. He had horrible smelly gas, he'd cry in pain when pooping, had a rash on his body, dry and flaky skin on his face, especially on his forehead. Pediatrician recommended switching to Nutramigen and since we did he's an entirely different baby! I do also add a baby probiotic once a day to his formula which also helps with any tummy problems. This formula is one of the most expensive ones on the market but I subscribed to Bolo's subscribe and save, I love the price and the convenience of it being delivered to the house!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for sensitive babies
This product is a life saver. It’s expensive and hard to find locally so I’m glad that I can always find it here if I’m in a pinch.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for babies with reflux
My son had reflux and we didn't know for about 5 weeks. I tried colic water, colic tablets, gas drops, chamomile tea, even stopped eating pretty much everything since I thought my baby wasn't doing well with whatever I was eating (since I'm breast feeding). It was a hellish 5 weeks unil I finally got him diagnosed with reflux and switched over from the emfamil infant formula to nutramigen. Ever since the combination of the two things together, he has been so much better. He doesn't cry for no reason now. I feel like this has been a lifesaver. Moms, if your baby cries all day, ask your pediatrician if he may have reflux. I think a lot of times, parents think its just colic and it could be but for my son, it was reflux. This formula is great. Now I don't have to try all the other things and hav my sanity back. Feel this is gentler on his stomach so he has less gas.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome product .... Great Amazon Service ...
Our child had milk allergy and we had him on Nutramigen for about a year and a half starting from the 3rd week after his birth. This one I should say was a life saver. We tried so many products and then our ped recommended this one and we saw immediate results (like the next day). He started feeling much better and within a week of starting on this powder he was back to normal. The ped kept him on this until he was about 18 months old and then slowly started on cow's milk. He is now 4 and no longer has milk allergy (thank goodness!!!).Bolo always did a great job of delivering on time. I had the subscribe and save option - this saved me a little money and that goes a long way as this product is definitely not cheap (but no complaints).
5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle for acid reflex.
We tried this out because my son had awful acid reflux and it worked like a miracle. He went from puking up half the bottle to just a little or nothing at all. It's cheaper to buy it using "Subscribe and Save" but still really expensive. Our pediatrician told us to try Soy formula instead and use 1 oz of prune juice once to twice a day in it to take care of constipation. It didn't work as well as Nutramigen (aka "Liquid Gold" as referred to by our pediatrician) but it was a lot cheaper and since our son ate like crazy (he always weighed in over the 90th percentile) it was a better choice for us. If we could afford it though, we would have went with this instead. Just a note: we also had him taking prescription acid reflex medications as well as using Comotomo baby bottles which both also seemed to help tremendously.
