5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for; excellent quality and design.
First of all, made in the USA. High quality glass workmanship; although is heavy, the design is easy to grab, hold, pour. The lid is flimsy, but mine fits well enough and being light, does not add to the weight off the carafe. It does not drip after a pour. I'm careful with it - use two hands almost all the time when handling it - putting it on a hard surface slowly, washing it slowly as to not bang/chip my sink. It is heavy! but even with my one 'bum' hand from a work injury, the design of it makes it totally workable. Highly recommend this quality product and do what we all can to keep manufacturing in the USA!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great space saving pitcher
We use this to keep filtered water in the refrigerator. It's great because of it's narrow rectangular shape, which allows isn't as obtrusive as keeping a filter pitcher in the fridge. Haven't had any issues with durability. A note on the stopper, if you are wanting to keep stuff out of the pitcher and keep the contents inside while you're moving it like a regular pitcher, it does the job. It's not spill proof, but also had no expectations that it would be.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great space saver
My sister had one of these and I loved it so much I had to order one for myself. Great quality. Love the rectangular shape and the ridges. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, the cap doesn't seal. I wasn't expecting it to, nor does it seem like it's actually supposed to. It's just a lid to keep it covered.
4.0 out of 5 stars Functional and Fridge-Friendly - A Nearly Perfect Glass Pitcher
I purchased the Anchor Hocking Glass Bistro Pitcher as it closely resembled another pitcher I've owned and loved for 20 years, and I wanted a matching set. This pitcher fits perfectly in my refrigerator door in height, width, and depth, which is a huge plus. I use it to store cold-brewed black tea, which typically leaves stains, but this pitcher has been easy to clean and has shown no signs of staining. My only issue is the white stopper, which is slightly narrower than I would prefer. It tends to fall out if the pitcher is turned upside down when empty—a problem I do not experience with my older pitcher. Overall, though, this is a great product for everyday use.
1.0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE AND WILL BREAK
I bought 2 of these and they both broke within 6 months of use. They WILL BREAK at the slightest clink against anything. I am so upset and honestly feel like I should get 100% of a refund plus money for all the food items I had to throw away due to these cheaply made containers. Do not waste your money. I tried to show how thin they are in one of the photos. I had this container in the fridge filled with farm fresh milk and I pushed it back ever so slightly with barely any force and the whole corner busted out and milk spilled all over my fridge, ran into the drawers, down into the freezer and all over the floor. I now get to spend the next several hours cleaning up this mess. Breaking at the slightest clink is not normal. I have everything glass and the only time anything breaks is if it falls into the floor with strong force, and even then I have dropped glass items and they do not break. I have clinked together many glass items with out chipping. These are flat out garbage.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my small fridge door
This is exactly what I needed. It fits nicely in my fridge door or on the bottom shelf. I like the indented “handles”. It’s easy to clean. I recommend cleaning the plastic lid by hand because I wonder if it would warp in dishwashing machine. I have placed the glass carafe upside down in the dishwasher many times & it comes out clean. I’m definitely pleased with this purchase.
3.0 out of 5 stars Rubber lid doesn't fit well - found for 1/2 the $$
The glass is nice and thick on this pitcher although the bottom is stamped with "no hot liquids" so not great for making iced tea. The rubber stopper on the top is pretty worthless. It's extremely wobbly and loose fitting in the neck of the pitcher. I expected a bit better quality and design from Anchor Hocking. To add to my disappointment, a couple of weeks after purchasing this from Bolo I found the exact same pitcher at Publix for $9.97.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Exactly Product Will be Buy More In The Near Future.
Well Designed Pitcher
I have three of these pitchers and they are extremely efficient in terms of design. All fit easily on the top shelf of my fridge side by side. The first two I have had for years and only recently purchased the third one. With that history I can attest to the quality over time including the rubber stopper. They are dishwasher safe and the rubber stopper continues to be flexible. The only reservation I have is the price which I consider high for what it is. Having said that, if this 3rd pitcher gets through as many years as their first two, I will not regret the expenditure.
Five Stars
Very good item
Solid!
Much like the rest of the Anchor glassware line, this pitcher is solid and heavy. The spout must be removed for pouring. I might cut a hole in it for that reason. The spout drizzles down the body a bit if you don't pour directly into a cup (with the lip pressed against the spout), so pour carefully. I am very happy with this pitcher. Great product for what I paid.
Great Pitcher!
Can't be beat, for the price. I don't really ever use the lid, so I can't comment on that, but as a water pitcher during meal time this is a wonderful replacement to my last glass picture, which I broke the thin handle off of. Anchor Hocking's take on the glass picture feels very solid.
inconfortable
le lait reste incrusté sur les côtés, il est difficile à laver.
