When I first used it, it did not ring. So I sent a message to the people who I got it from. They did not respond but I did see others review this item and saw that you had to turn the dial all the way to the very end. And then back to the time you needed it and it would work. People were saying something about directions, but I did not see directions with the item. At least not like that. Otherwise, it works good. Has a good sound. It's an egg timer.

This is the timer I grew up with. I purchased one of those digital timers and it is now at the city dump. For those of you that are having problems with this timer, READ THE DIRECTIONS! Turn the timer all the way till it stops, and then back it to the time you need. It is very easy to do. Perhaps it is because I used this type of timer from my early days (60s) but it works and it works well. Yes, it will only do an hour at a time, but it is much more trustworthy than the newer ones. I used a digital one and after a year, it wouldn't do anything but tell me the time - the timer stopped working all together. This one is tried and true.

No instructions included so I had to read the reviews to understand how to get it to ding when the set time was up. I was to turn it all the way to maximum time and then pull back to the desired length of time and that did work. Now, it's a nice timer.

Love the black timer in my house. I use it not only for cooking, but as a timer to remind me of time deadlines. Loud enough, but not obnoxious! Great value, looks more expensive than price of item😊

I didn’t dislike anything!Quite the contrary!The Timer replaced another I had, which was old and finally, inaccurate.The new one is PERFECT ! Just as advertised. I’m very pleased!

What a classic timer! I haven't verified it's accuracy, but it ticks and dings and does what I want it to! It's nice to have one of these in the kitchen instead of the dreaded microwave timer. Skip the hassle of asking Siri to set a timer and just give this a quick turn!

Nice little timer, BUT ---The alarm sound is very low and only rings once. It should be louder and ring at least twice !! Will keep it. Too much trouble to return it. However, I would not recommend it 😔

Not worth the money
It does not work the way they tell you on the package, it is hard to turn, it does not turn 5 min. to the right first and it only rings once, very soft..... so you never hear it.
