I absolutely LOVE this popcorn! It’s so tenderly, deliciously crunchy and free of Roundup and most all other toxic chemicals. I prefer this new brand over almost all others. Also it’s a true heirloom strain and healthier to digest due to the absence of pesky hulls. On the contrary, hybridized corn even when grown organically sacrifices flavor and nutrition for high yield. I’m so happy to have tried this today! The packaging design is beautiful too so I’m happy to leave the bag out atop the stove. This company is dedicated to quality. I prefer to purchase on their website for better savings. Also after inquiring how long the shelf life is for their popping corn, I received this reply:“Thank you for your question. Popcorn will last for years as long as there is moisture in the seed. We recommend storing it in a cool place like a cupboard or the refrigerator. We don't recommend a freezer as most are now frost free and that will draw the moisture out of the seed.We hope this helps.Happy Holidays,Tiny But Mighty Team”Lastly, here is their response to an Bolo question regarding organics for further information:Q: Is this popcorn organically raised?A: “Hi all. Just found this comment string and we are the grower/producer of the product. Tons of places on Bolo where reviews, comments, questions are posted and we're just a small company with less than 4 employees -- took awhile to realize where these questions were posted. Our popcorn is not USDA certified organic. We use a special organic fertilizer that includes trace minerals -- we developed the fertilizer specifically for our heirloom variety which is completely different (and grows differently) than all other varieties of corn being grown today. We do not use any pesticides at all. The one aspect that currently prevents organic certification is the use of non-residual herbicide during the first 20% of the growing season. Our popcorn grows very very slowly and the weeds/grasses are a huge hurdle for us. The herbicide never enters the plant (not residual) and only targets the other grasses/weeds on contact. Nothing enters our popcorn plant and to be even more sure, it's only applied months before any ears (and kernels) think about developing. Some people tell us to "just do it organically" -- but unfortunately the yield of this popcorn (less than 2,000 lbs per acre) makes it impossible and unaffordable to do so. It would probably yield less than 1,000 lbs per acre if we didn't fight the weeds/grasses with herbicide. In comparison, most of the conventional popcorn varieties are growing between 5,000 and up to 10,000 lbs per acre. We're already on the edge of being able to produce the product remotely affordably. Our first goal is to preserve and expand this heirloom variety and down the road we will see if expanding into organic is possible.Hope you enjoy!!”

5.0 out of 5 stars Great old-fashioned popcorn taste

    T. · April 14, 2024

This popcorn brought back fond memories of when I was a child and my grandparents owned a movie theater in Utah. The popcorn had such a great flavor. It was very reminiscent of what popcorn used to be like before all the GMO infiltration of popcorn. The kernels were light and fluffy, and the Hulls just disappeared. Not one hull got stuck in my teeth. If you want some good old fashioned great flavored popcorn this is the one to go with.It pops up great and if you wanted to taste like you're out of movie theater pop it in some coconut oil and sprinkle with just a little teeny bit of salt and you'll have a delicious treat.

The media could not be loaded. For someone with stomach issues that loves popcorn this one saves the day! It’s delicious I’ve used the microwave kind before this was my 1st time making the kernels and it came out just as good! Small tender pieces. Definitely recommend

1.0 out of 5 stars Tiny kernels, fairly tasteless

I bought 2 kinds of organic popcorn: these and Amish Country. This brand is overpriced and generally tasteless, tiny tiny kernels compared to Amish Country( which has small kernels but tasty and larger when popped).BTW, I bought Amish Country because I had found half a bag of AC popcorn in back of cabinet, at least 5 years old, and tried it anyway, and it popped and tasted perfectly fine after all that time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Popcorn, Hands Down

This is by far the best popcorn I’ve ever had. Great size, fantastic flavor and crunch; plus, nothing stuck in my teeth!Found it first as pre packed microwaveable bags but had mixed results on getting all kernels popped. Decided to go for a bag of kernels to see if I could improve results. Went a step further and picked up stovetop popcorn turner (“Whirley-Pop”), and can’t go back. I get consistent results and every kernel popped, every time. It’s a deserving combo for a top notch popcorn.

3.0 out of 5 stars Crunchy, tender and almost organic

Success at last, with our hot air popper!! Because I wanted organic, I tried Arrowhead Mills and Great Northern. Both were tough and chewy whether I used the hot air popper or the pan method. Could not find another organic, so I tried this brand. I called the company to see how much and when they used pesticides and was relieved to learn that they only use a nonresidual weed killer during the first 1/3 of growth period. After that, no insecticides are used. So, I ordered this, and was pleasantly surprised to find a crunchy and tender popcorn, similar to what I had been buying pre-popped. I gave 4 stars for the reason that not all the kernels popped. I would say that out of the half-cup, about 15 kernel were unpopped, as compared to the regular corn which popped nearly completely...maybe 2 or 3 left. Also, there was plenty of hull...not hull-less...but my digestive system appeared to be less stressed. I could not tell a significant difference in the taste between this and yellow corn....maybe a tiny bit more flavor....but hard to tell when air popping, as it seems that there is not much flavor period when using this method. It is a little more difficult to pop in the air popper, as the kernels are so small and lightweight that they fly out of the popper before they pop. I had to tilt the popper back and also put a mesh strainer in front to catch the escapees. Overall, I would definitely buy this again, for the crunchiness and the tenderness. Recommended!Update:I reduced it by one star. I had written the review prematurely...I had not gotten to the bottom of the bowl. There were many more unpopped kernels.

Superb flavor, love the smaller kernel, and this popcorn produces more "old maids" per kettle than any other popcorn I've ever had.Love my "Grannies" (what I grew up calling partially popped kernels).
