I bought this product thinking it was 100% black Jamaican castor oil it is not. I called Bolo complaining and got a refund but they let me keep the product, so what did I do?... Used it of course! Why not try it I said... Now, I hated the smell it is yucky and too herbal like products from the kitchen BUT... It complimented my other products well. I tried it alone and with other products. Here's the thing though, i used it as a leave in conditioner. Now , I only realized today when thinking of reordering it, that it was meant to be washed out but it worked just fine as a leave in conditioner with no sweaty feel that happens if you try to leave other conditioners meant to be washed out in your hair. It left no build up and I could add other products on top of it for styling. I will try this again this time I will order on purpose and I will continue to use it as a leave in. Hopefully my other products can mask the smell.

First let me say this smells sooo good! But here is the thing...If you are looking to start using black Jamaican castor oil, you are not seeking soft bouncy curls...you are looking for thickness and length in each strand of hair along with the growth of new hair.It's too soon for me to comment on how much my hair has grown as I have only used this particular product once. However, I will say the reason why I bought this is because I purchased the black Jamaican castor oil neat, by this same company, to make beard balm for my older sons and to make a leave in treatment for my daughter and I which has caused hair growth and is slowly filling in my edges (yes girl!)Also, because I have made products using various oils and shea butter, I have seen how it changes... You have to melt everything down to a liquid and, once it solidifies, it condenses seeming to be less product.... So don't fret too much yall, it's all in how they package the product.Trusted brand!

Absolutly loved this product. All natural is a huge plus for me. My husband has dreads and its a godsend as it leaves no residue build up in either of our hair. Would highly recommend. Although the smell takes some getting use to my ten year old daughter is not a fan but its amazing in every way so we use it and will continue to use this product

The best for thick, course and coiled hair. Excellent product that actually works to moisturize hair. This is hair food. I would not recommend for thin or fine hair types because this is a heavy oil, but if you choose to purchase because of it's wonder effects for moisture and growth, I would use with a light hand.

I really wanted this to be a great product because the ingredient list is so stellar but the smell is just too much for me. I feel a little sick at the stomach when I think about putting it on my hair. I wish it smelled better so I could use it more.

It has a pickly, peppery smell to it that my fiancée's hates, but I don't mind it. It makes my hair soft and easier to brush.

This works wonders when used after shampooing and as the preceding treatment of the accompanying leave in conditioner. With other castor oil products this trio (shampoo - conditioner - leave in conditioner/detangler) works extremely well to leave the hair feeling soft, healthy and more volume. Your hair will thank you for it.
