Actually on hot days it keeps my drinks ice cold with the cotton cover / holster getting wet from the dew build up acts like a cooler with the aluminum then when its cold well keeps it pretty warm but if that fails you got yourself a nice what 20 oz cup to sit down make a fire and warm up your drink or put on some sou The thing is easily worth the money easy its a no brainer in my book hey if its good enough for the US army its good enough for me.

This is an inexpensive aluminum canteen. Keeping that in mind, it's a darned good one. The aluminum appears to be substantial, as for its thickness and anticipated durability, the shape and configuration are convenient, and the fabric case is thick enough to keep the water cool for a reasonable amount of time if dampened.I don't think I could find anything better in an aluminum canteen. Stainless steel might be better, and titanium would be better yet, but you can expect to pay increased costs for these. This is way better than plastic, and there are plenty of plastic canteens selling for a higher price.

Nice canteens to use while hiking!The covers hook onto my web belt perfectly!I leave the cup in the cover to keep it open so the canteen slides right back in.I have not had any leaks or other malfunctions.I like the tethered cap as well.Good LuckGod Bless

It’s a decent canteen and cover however the chain is wimpy so I replaced the chain with nylon cord. Also to reinforce the cover I sewed around the edges with my sewing machine. What I was so disappointed about was that I bought it a couple years ago and put it with my emergency supplies in a tote. I went to check on my supplies for bugs and what not and the top of the canteen and the cup were heavily corroded like with salt damage. We live about 30 miles from the ocean. Just disappointed.Did I mention the snaps rusted to the point of being useless, also the metal bar to hook onto your webbing also heavily rusted.

Good quality at a good price, this canteen holds 32 oz. , enough for a half-day hike. The included cover allows attachment to my belt, so no need for a backpack on a short hike. A nesting cup provides a drinking container for a companion.

This is exactly what i expected so by no means am i let down. 4 star for me means price matches quality and expectations. No let downs basically. Chain is weak but before reading reviews with a simple glance and feel i knew not to fill it and hang by that chain. So why 5 stars? I will only give a 5 star if the seller goes above and beyond and i ordered 10 items at once and this was first to be packed and shipped. They are on top of it i am 100% satisfied with my purchase, the product and the distributor.
