My daughter requested a vanilla scented fragrance and i wanted to try one with a musk combination. It is absolutely wonderful. My only concern is that the application ball tip is very loose. It rolls easily so i worry about a possible leak.

This is my very first Bolo review ever, but I had to review this vanilla musk oil. It's so good that I will even wear it to bed. I have a rather large perfume collection and I wear this more than anything else, even MFK Baccarat Rouge 540. The musk just sits in the background and compliments, but doesn't overpower the vanilla. I would definitely say it's a warm Fall or Winter scent, but I'm pretty sure that won't stop me from wearing it year-round.

When I first tried it, I smelled absolutely nothing (as you can read in my prior review below.) I tried shaking it and still no scent.Instead of returning it, I kept using it. At the very least, I thought it was a good base for my fragrances.The scent started to come in stronger with each use. I guess it's difficult to mix the oil in a roller ball and the best way to mix it up is to use the roller ball.The smell is heavenly! Sweet vanilla but warm and musky to round it up. It gets better with heat and I can smell it on me throughout the day. I still use it as a base with my other fragrances. It mixes well and it makes the scent last for a long time. It is great on its own and I now carry it around with me in my purse.Previous review:"NO SCENT DISCLAIMER - Perfume oils evolves with skin chemistry. It is so faint, that I don't know if i am imagining it.Go ahead and take a chance. Maybe you will have a better chance at linking up with a more reputable distributer. I understand that body chemistry plays a role with how a scent expresses itself but to not smell ANYTHING? I'm pretty disappointed.

Updated review, 4/5 stars (July ‘24):It is nearly a year later, but I wanted to give credit where it is due, and this roll-on is perfect. In my case, the new bottle’s scent wasn’t as strong as my previous bottle, but it did get “stronger” as the months went on. I read some reviews online and left my bottle uncapped for a few days, and things went well. I’m unsure if the formula had truly changed or if I needed time to adjust to a new bottle. My old one was over a year old at the time of my review.A little still goes a long way; it fades nicely as the day progresses. It will subtly linger on my skin and clothes, so I like it for work and as an everyday scent.When I layer, I use Eilish perfume on top or mix it with a bit of the EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion. Nemat is a “deep” vanilla bean scent that pairs well with some of the sweeter vanilla scents I like.I mix it with an unscented or lightly scented lotion when keeping it simple. It’s slightly milk-fragranced, but I like Au Lait by Scottish Fine Soaps.All to say, this has become one of my favorite vanilla scents. I recommend it as a blind buy for the scent. However, I had to do some work to bring longevity and projection together.••••••••••Old review, 3/5 stars (Aug ‘23):I purchased this oil from Bolo in February 2022 (pictured on the right). As many reviews have said, a little goes a long way, and it smells amazing. I had paid about $18.99 at the time.I’m not sure when it went viral online (and if that changed things), but the formula is definitely different from my first purchase in early 2022, which many others have also mentioned.The one on the left is a new bottle purchased this month, and it isn’t the same. The viscosity is thinner, and the scent isn’t as strong. The scents are the same between the two, but the right bottle has a deeper/richer scent. Also, the right bottle has a slight yellow tint to it, which may be because it’s older, but it’s another difference I noticed.It’s a really great scent; I’d say it’s in the same scent range as Eilish but less alcohol-y. Purchase at your discretion; I hope they switch back to the old formula soon.

I have purchased this twice!! Let me say that the first purchase took me a while to warm up to but I always got compliments on when I wore it and people would always ask me what scent I was wearing. Now, the second purchase I don’t know if I’ll be wearing it. It just smells way too different from the first. I actually thought they had sent me the wrong scent wrapped in the wrong label or something. The bottle on the left is an older order and the bottle on the right is recent. Not sure if they changed their recipe but the new one doesn’t smell like vanilla at all. It smells florally and I don’t like it. It doesn’t even have a musk smell really. Sort of disappointed because of the price. Returning this sadly

This stuff smells AMAZING! I got this for myself and the Amber for my spouse and we spend an unhealthy amount of time just smelling each other lol. You do need very much and even though it's a small bottle It last. My husband jokes to me constantly he's not a scratch and sniff but it smells so good on him!!!
I love this scent!
I'm a bit of a vanilla junkie but I don't like it to smell too artificial or clawing or too light and this vanilla musk perfume roll-on is the perfect balance between sweet and slightly mysterious. The musk really rounds out the scent without overpowering the vanilla. It has almost a slightly smokey scent that is barely there but enough to make you want to keep smelling it. I would recommend rubbing a quarter sized amount into your wrists, neck and the creases of your elbows and knees. When I do this I find it lasts about 3-4 hours before the scent starts to drop off but you can still smell it slightly after that. It will definitely make you smell like a cupcake that has a secret to tell. This scent is also a great base for layering scents. I like to spray a pump or two of an alcohol based perfume on my hair and clothes and then wear this as a boby oil. That way you will smell delicious for longer. Any vanilla, coconut or citrus/fruit based perfume smells great with this scent. Let's be honest most perfumes smell better with a little vanilla.
Nice, incensey Egyptian musk
This is a really nice Egyptian musk. If you've tried a few different Egyptian musk attars, this leans more toward a Superior Egyptian Musk than the lighter, more floral Egyptian musks like the Abdul Kareem blend. It's got a touch of patchouli and probably a bit of oud and there's a hippie vibe to it. My daughter said "Something smells like Lush.... it's you! You smell like Lush!". Long- lasting and you don't need much.
smells lovely
I was skeptical due to some bad reviews, but upon unscrewing the lid off and smelling it...was definitely not disappointed! It smells like a sweet vanilla cupcake, almost like the EOS vanilla cashmere body lotion (if you've smelt it) but more sweeter, yet muskier and more tolerable. Cannot wait to layer on perfumes/lotion with this oil 😍
SMELLS AMAZING!!
It smells so so good! I love it! For the price it’s great for me at-least since I just wanted a small roll on! It lasts me about 8 hours (I wear it everyday to school) it’s a pretty good size I’ve had it a couple months and it’s lasted! You really don’t need a lot and it’s pretty effective!
Smelled good out of the bottle
Smells like a nice laundry musk. Mine had a strong smell as soon as I got it, but it was sitting in a hot metal mailbox in a Saskatchewan summer as well.
