Best quality and also cheapest option for Mercon V I've found. Transmission shifts a lot better after using this too. I like that I can also buy this in a gallon rather than having to buy quarts individually. I know it works for other transmission fluid types as well.

My transmission gave a P0741 code and was slightly slipping in 1st gear. After doing research on it, I had ordered new solenoids and a new transmission filter due to be delivered today. In the meantime, since doing a pan drop only changes out 5.5 qts of 11 qts, and I took out 32oz of the old stuff and added back in 32oz of this and it's operating with no check engine light and running normally. Prior, I had added Lucas Stop Slip and was not only having some issues still, though reduced, I thought I might have overfilled which was the reason I was going to remove fluid to begin with, and the fluid removal made the problems considerably worse so I added this back in instead of putting the old fluid back. Vehicle drives pretty darn good already and will only get better I presume once I pump more out and keep replacing it.After hearing about my success, my sister was also having some transmission shudder and slipping beginning on her vehicle just venting, so I recommended we do the same procedure to her vehicle. This stuff basically fixed her problems entirely with 1.5 liters taken out and 1.5 liters of this put back in. I couldn't believe it.Both fluids were dark, hers much worse than mine, and the replacement with just a little bit of this has already made a world of difference. I'm pretty well convinced this is the best ATF on the market at this point, I couldn't believe it given all of the transmission youtube videos I watched over the past couple days. Blew my mind.

Valvoline MaxLife tranmission fluid has worked great on all my vehicles. Not once have i had an issue with any of my vehicles through out the years.For my Toyota Camry it meets the Toyota WS specification and works seamlessly. Shifts are smooth, and it has shown consistent performance.Though an older vehicle, my 87 El Camino benefits also it has improved the responsiveness of the gears compared to what it was using before probably generic dex/merc.My Cadillac ATS is also doing great, it uses Dexron VI but dropped the pan to change the transmission filter and filled it back up with the maxlife transmission fluid and it is shifting just as good if not better then the Dexron VI.

This is a excellent synthetic ATf that was fully compatible for my 2010 Lexus RX350 (oem Toyota WS fluid). This was the best price, by far, at Bolo I could find it at anywhere.But it arrived with no packaging material inside the box, just lying on its side so it could slide & crush the other item in there also. Thankfully there was no leaking!Common sense says: This 1 gal. container of ATF should have been in a shaped different box so it could sit upright & my other fragile item protected in some manner (bubble wrap / air cushion packet).

Compatible with almost any car ! I took the container over to my mechanic and had him change the trans filter and refill with this. Trans had no problems on the ancient 1990 Camry. But was seeping a bit from the pan. The old filter was quite dirty ! Now no leaks ( new pan gasket )Better safe than sorry with proactive maintenance !

When my daughter's car had transmission trouble, I realized that now is the time to do preventative maintence on my my Odyssey. At 135,000 miles, I had only changed the transmission fluid once, at 90,000 miles, and now the transmission was shifting weirdly again. I drained and refilled 3 times, while driving a couple days in between.This is much cheaper than the Honda fluid, and I have only seen improvements in shifting since changing it in my Honda. All of the oddities have gone away. Is the shifting better because of MaxLife ATF, or the fact that I changed the fluid at all? I don't think it matters which fluid you use (as long as its approved for use for your application) as long as you change it regularly. New MaxLife ATF is going to be better for the car than old burned Honda DW-1.
