This was a great beading kit for my 3 year old for Christmas! It was great for fine motor practice and a easy challenge that kept her interested and excited. Plenty of beads and strings in the kit to make several necklaces. The paint job is high quality and the wooden beads were so adorable

I was surprised by how much my almost 3 year old loves this toy! She is at the age where nothing holdings her attention for too long but she has played with this bead set for very long stretches of time almost every day. She doesn't put toys in her mouth so that wasn't an issue for us. This toy is colorful, well thought out and great for fine motor skill development. As for storing, when done playing we put it back in the wooden tray it comes in and put it on our playroom shelf. We got the Sweet Hearts & Butterfly set for $17.86 which is a good deal for a Melissa & Doug toy.

These were a good set for a 3 year old. The holes were big enough for her to do it. And the case helped a lot - she could bead without them going all over the table.

This is a lovely set of beads, strings and fasteners. I got this for my 3 year old (almost 4) who loves necklaces and bracelets. We've made necklaces before with normal dollar store beads and she likes doing it, and focuses on the task. These are really pretty, some are large (about an inch) and some are the size of a normal bead. You can make various patterns, which is part of your average preschool curriculum: ab, Abb, aabb, abc... And so on. You can do this while playing, sorting and having fun.The beads come organized in a thin plastic tray, with a thin plastic lid. This isn't very secure or durable. But it is better than no kid at all (one of the issues of many Melissa and Doug products: nice wood box, no lid. With care the plastic lid should last for a while. Eventually though, the beads can simply be stored in a zip lock bag. I bought this on sale, and I'd recommend waiting for a sale if you have the time because after all these are just beads.

My niece turned 4 recently and has become very crafty and curious about lots of stuff. This was one of many gifts I got her to try to keep her occupied and encourage her creative side. She got so excited and happy about receiving them. Her mom was appreciative of the size of the beads, theyre not so small that they'll be hard to work with or get lost easily. We have had good luck with Melissa and Doug toys though, they always seem to be a better quality.

Está bonito, pueden hacer pulseras también
El set es pequeño, no trae tantas piezas, pero se pueden hacer 5 o 6 collares y sirve para que mi hija pueda jugar con algunas amigas también. No es como las cuentitas plásticas que venden de a miles y que pueden hacer sus pulseras y dejarlas hechas o regalarlas, esto es más bien para hacer y deshacer y guardar el set como un material para que trabajen con él cuando deseen. Me gustó mucho la calidad y diseño, es muy bonito y da muchas posibilidades de combinaciones. Viene en su cajita para guardar y mantener ordenado, yo lo compré para mi hija pero está ideal para regalar en cumpleañitos de nenas de 3 o 4 años.
