First, the pygmy elephant in the room - this thing is small. the broom is completely inadequate for trying to sweep a whole room, but it's great for pulling out when you need to spot clean some kind of a spill. I'm still giving it 5 stars and will get to why, but just don't expect this to be the last broom and dustpan you'll ever own.Where this thing shines is in the quality Oxo puts in all of their products. The silicone lip does a great job of picking up the pile of dirt and dust in just a sweep or two. The silicone grippers on the upper part are great for catching hair and fluff off the broom. The materials look striking and high quality, and the parts generally all work well. What this kind of dustpan does for you is really saves your back from having to stoop down on the floor, and that's well worth it.Given the small size, I found myself generally cleaning with a regular broom, but then coming around with this to pick up the pile I'd created, and it was well worth the extra tool to save your back and not fighting a crappy plastic dustpan you have to sweep 6-7 times and you've still got crumbs on the floor it's not catching and you're doing it all bent over the whole time.Well worth it and I keep it around in the kitchen to quickly clean and catch spills on the spot.

It's sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. Will stand up to daily use; the broom has just the right amount of tension in the bristles; and the dustpan has a rubber lip that makes it easy to sweep up that last line of dust on the floor.I'm on my second set, because I it's the best and because nothing lasts forever, but my last one was around for 5 years - a decent lifespan for as often as I reach for it. Worth the little extra price for great quality.

This mighty little set is super for hard to reach places and small jobs. Great for kitty litter, crumbs and dust under the table. But because of its diminutive size it is not for a full sweep on an entire floor, however the handled dustpan saves a lot of backpain. Recommended, especially for small apartments.

I love the brand, and saw the high ratings, but a little shocked at how small this set is. It feel mini, but actually does the job well, so no complaints. Looks attractive and takes up little space but picks up a lot of hair and such from the ground.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SMALL SET, usually known as a LOBBY BROOM used by restaurants, offices, in kitchen corners, etc. for quick sweep-ups. It is NOT meant for general cleaning. I wish it were described as such, so that people wouldn't be disappointed in its "child-size." It would also have saved me a couple of hours of searching online, as a lobby broom is what I wanted and everything else is way too large. OXO makes one like this in a full-sized model, look for it if that's what you want. The quality will be the same. Anyway, back to the lobby broom.I love this one. It stands alone either collapsed or open flat! I can sit it in any corner and it takes up almost no space and doesn't have to be leaning against anything. The broom bristles are slightly angled and are those nice, soft, OXO bristles that are thorough but gentle to hardwood, and that I love in my full-sized OXO broom. You can clip the broom almost anywhere along the dustpan handle, so you don't have to fuss with getting it in the dustpan for storage. And the comb for the bristles has rounded tines, so it's effective but gentle to the broom bristles.The beauty of a lobby broom is that you can leave it out and ready for any furry, crumby, or dusty mess. I love it for the entryway from the attached garage, too. This one makes my life easier. Highly recommended.

I am not really impressed with the product. It just about manages to do its work. Although it does manage to collect dust particles on the floor together, dusting the particles into in the dust-pan gets a bit difficult, primarily for two reasons:1) The red rubber edge of the dustpan make it difficult to sweep dust particles in. Its more of a hindrance.2) Dust gets stuck on the brush bristles a bit too much. You need to literally dust them off the bristles into the trash can.The broom is shorter in length. It would work very well for people approximately upto 5' 7" inches. If you are taller, you might have to bend a bit awkwardly to get the job done.On a positive note, it small, light and does not use much of closet space and it also manages to stand on its own. The equipment also appears pretty sturdy and not made of cheap material.Its meant just for quick clean up rather than a more comprehensive and complete one. Considering the price, I would say its an acceptable product, not that great.

I recently moved from a 3 bedroom duplex where every floor was carpeted except for the kitchen, to a 1 bedroom apartment where all but one room is either tile or laminate. I brought my old Kenmore vac with me. While it's great on all the surfaces, it's a pain to drag out for every crumb and grain of kitty litter, so I wanted something small to use in between weekly vacuums. I thought I was going to have to resort to squatting with a small brush and dustpan until I discovered this set in my complex' laundry room. I immediately ordered one for myself. It's perfect! It doesn't take up a lot of space, and it's lightweight, so I can quickly clean up messes. The teeth do a good job of removing any cat fur I pick up in the process.Should this be your primary tool to clean your bare floors? Of course not. But it is a most convenient supplement to a vacuum in a small apartment.

I purchased this for my 86 year old mother so she wouldn't have to bend to use a dustpan. I used it at her house and liked it so much I bought one for myself. My son came to our house and used our broom. He decided it was THE best broom/dustpan because they have animals and being able to clean the hair from the broom so easily was ideal. So, I bought a broom for him as well. I purchased three of them. The only negative is the handles are very short and don't adjust for height.

Lovely little set
I use this in the bathroom because I have a cat litter tray. The brush picks up all the dust and litter that's tracked out. Very easy job.It's a strong sturdy little set. Maybe I could do with it being an inch longer on the handles but I don't get any problems using it. I love that the brush has a slight angle and is totally tenacious about the dust and litter it finds.The comb works well at getting the brush to let go of its finds. Even if it takes a couple of goes.The only thing I am disappointed with is that the dustpan doesn't flip up as you pick it up. That's a manual job, but it makes sure I empty it before putting it back to its resting position.Very happy with my purchase.Love the orange.
