Ok, so we ONLY bought this for one reason POPCORN! If you LOVE buttery popcorn, you guys have to try this! Sprinkling some of this on a fresh batch of popcorn is the absolute BEST THING EVER! If you want to make it stick even more, use an olive oil spritzer and give your popcorn a little spritz of oil before tossing this butter powder over it and toss it again! THE BEST!! Now that thats out of the way, I have also used this to cook with. Be aware, this is a POWDER form of butter and it does not melt by simply heating it up. This mixes well with a little hot chicken broth or even milk then add it to your favorite dish. This goes GREAT with any vegetable, mashed potatoes, sprinkle on bread with cheese before heating. There are SO many great things you can do with this and it lasts for EVER in the pantry! I WILL be ordering this again! Great find!

Maybe it's just me, but I expected more flavor. I was hoping to add it to recipes to give it a stronger butter flavor. It does not "melt" but at least it spreads better. It tastes okay, but in my opinion, it does not taste like pure butter. I've read reviews where people said to "tastes" amazing on popcorn -- NO, no it does not! It's very bland on popcorn. I kept adding more, but it tasted more like some kind of cheese.I could not wait to sprinkle it on various baked goods to give it more of an even buttery flavor on top, but it just does not work that way. No one could tell it was butter.

I always package down the container I'm using. I measured out 18, 1/2 cup measures.... which, according to the package would each measure would equal one stick of butter. So that equals 4.5lbs of butter. OK, it's still more expensive than butter off the shelf, but to have an emergency back up supply of butter, or to use for gift in a jar scone mixes like I'm making for Christmas this year, it is sooooooo worth it!
