I bought this scoop for an odd use case; to scoop the salt and compacted salt-slurry out of the brine tank for our water softener. I overfilled it with salt and the melted salt solidified at the bottom of the tank, about 12" thick, rendering the water softener useless. My fault and it was as ugly as it sounds.The scoop held up a lot better than my back did. This scoop is very well built and after using it as both a scoop and a chisel for a couple of hours, it doesn't look any worse for the wear.If it stood up to what could easily be called abuse and still looks new, it should last forever if used as intended. Would buy this brand again, but hope I don't have to for this use case scenario.

Smaller than I imagined. I’ve cubes stick to it if you put it in your ice bin before bringing it to freezer temp. Other than that, it works great. The upside of the smaller size is that it fits nicely in cups to make sure you don’t spill

I keep the charcoal for my grill in a 30gal trash can, and this scoop is the perfect size and has the durability to crunch through the charcoal and get a good amount in the scoop every time.The high polish of the scoop prevents any pitting or corrosion, and the thick handle makes it easy to get a good grip on the scoop while using it.All in all, a perfect upgrade from my old scoop, and definitely a game changer if you cook with charcoal or wood frequently.

Scoop warning
Be careful, scoops are addictive. It starts out as just one for the chicken feed or whatever, but then you enjoy it so much that you get one for the baby chick feed. And then the potting mix, then a cute lil baby scoop for the bonsai mix etc. I'm at 4 scoops already but rest assured my mind is feverishly thinking of other things that need scoops.This particular scoop is very good value and built well.
