The Oral-B Pro 5000 SmartSeries Electric Toothbrush is a great toothbrush with an even better app. It feels good, looks good, and is very easy to use and set up. The pressure sensor works well. Downsides: It takes 22 hours to fully charge, the plastic case feels very cheap and barely fits the toothbrush, it’s quite loud, and each 2-minute brush uses about 5% of the battery.

After a month of use I can say that the brush is excellent. Although it comes charged, I preferred to plug it in before the first use, it takes about twelve hours to fully charge and after two weeks it reached the last point and I charged it again.It has five brushing modes, but the first one is enough to achieve a good cleaning. You can download a phone app to which it connects by bluetooth but I haven't tried it.At the same time, it comes with a base to which the charger is added, a spare brush and a travel box that is very good.The strange thing is that although the box was closed and in perfect condition, the plastic of the brush handle is as if worn, but it does not affect the operation.I recommend it

I prefer the electric rotary style toothbrush, circular motion of the brush head. I have historically had really bad gums, this toothbrush has really helped my oral hygiene. The bluetooth part of the toothbrush is to help guide you and keep you on track with which section to brush next, plus a breakdown for brushing too hard, how long, how many times and how often you brush. This is a nice feature to have, you do have to download the app to have this work properly.

This toothbrush replaced an Oral B Triumph electric toothbrush that was several years old and starting to show a lot of wear. I needed a new toothbrush anyway and the bluetooth feature intrigued me. After having used it for a few days I will say that I'm very happy with the toothbrush itself. The brush head I was using was only 4 or 6 weeks old, so I just put my existing brush head on the new toothbrush and I was quite surprised that my teeth felt noticeably cleaner than when I brushed with my old triumph brush, even though I was using the exact same brush head. The triumph was in the same price range as this brush, so I really wasn't expecting any difference in brushing performance. This brush is also noticeably lighter than my old triumph.I'm not sure how helpful the bluetooth feature really is, though. It's really a bit of a pain to remember to bring my phone to the bathroom, unlock the phone, start the app, then start brushing every time. While you're brushing the app pretty much gives you the same info that you get with the smart guide that Oral B has included with their toothbrushes for a while now (although it does also include news headlines, weather information, and upcoming calendar appointments) but frankly,when I first got my triumph brush I think I used the smart guide for all of about a week and then managed to lose it in the back of a bathroom cabinet, so I'm not sure I really see myself continuing to open up the app every time I brush my teeth.The app will also record how often and how long you brush for and the brush will retain 20 sessions if you don't start the app each time you brush, so if you want a log of your brushing habits, then it would be good for this and you'd only have to sync with your phone about every two weeks or so, but frankly, I'm not entirely certain why I'd want a log of how often I brush my teeth.The other thing worth noting is that it doesn't work well to share the brush with someone else. The brush will sync with more than one phone, so if everyone remembers to open the app every time they brush, then it will work and the data will all be logged correctly for each user. However, if you don't open the app the brush will store the session in it's own memory and will then sync that session with the first phone that it connects to. So if my wife wakes up first and brushes her teeth without connecting her phone, then I connect my phone and start brushing the app will show that I brushed my teeth twice that morning... once from the saved session that my wife did and once from when I actually brushed them.So in the end I'm going to keep the brush as I'm really quite happy with it's performance as an electric toothbrush, and the bluetooth feature doesn't really add any additional cost (I believe it's actually the same price as the non-bluetooth Pro 5000), but I'm not sure I'll actually be using the bluetooth feature several weeks from now.

Most happy with this purchase! Had used Sonicare toothbrushes for the last two decades. For some reason I decided to make the switch to Oral B.Love the round brush. From day one it felt as if it was doing a better job of cleaning. It felt more like a tool your dental hygienist would use.The proof was in my next dental cleaning. The hygienist commented my teeth had less buildup from previous appointments. Granted I am dedicated and consistent with oral hygiene. Heck, I Waterpik, floss, and brush.So her noticing improvement is a WINN, WINN!Only down side is it is much noisier than the Sonicare. I live alone, so not at all a dealbreaker for me. I vote for cleaner teeth.

After about 7 YEARS my trusty Oral-B Black 7000 finally died. I got this one overnight-ed and I'm very happy with the choice. The price was reasonable (especially compared to some of the other Oral-B offers that are double or triple this one). Right away I noticed how this handle feels lighter than my old one, but surprisingly has more power to the brush. I used to keep my old one at the top speed, but this one I had to knock it down a speed or two (I do like the top speed too, but it feels a bit extra; maybe I just have to get used to it). The other thing that's neat, is the app itself. Same app as I had before, but now it has some sensors and shows me literally what teeth I'm brushing! Not just a timer. But like back, front, tops, bottoms, middle, etc.. AND it even shows you a color from blue to white as you really clean that area so you can move around your mouth and ensure you're getting good coverage. Pretty impressive the brush/app can figure that out from the angle and directions (role/pitch/yaw). The battery life is also great. My old one started to die after a day or two. This one I can charge once and leave it in the shower for a week or more no problem. I don't have to take the charger on vacations with me either as I'm confident this has enough juice to last the whole trip. I like how the modes are displayed in little light up icons ON the brush too (last one didn't have that, so I was always having to cycle and guess, or use the app to set the mode). The light at the top is always on and can be a bit annoying, but also something I think I just need to get used to. All in all, a solid choice.
Best tooth brush ever
This is a whole new level of cleaning capability. Ever since Oral B hit the market there is no better cleaning tool but many people use it so much or incorrectly they add other problems. Time and pressure are important to monitor especially for those who use this multiple times a day. This new technology allows these side effects to be controlled. It is easy to use and the Bluetooth connect allows techies greater insights and fun! It is a bit expensive but lasts for years so a good purchase.
