About this item:
T-Sac's tea filter bags are single-use, natural paper tea infusers for steeping to brew high-quality loose leaf tea with the convenience of tea bags. Enjoy the fresh, natural taste of loose leaf tea without the hassle and mess of conventional straining methods. Control the amount of tea used for a more robust and flavorful cup of tea. Easily blend teas for customized brews. T-Sac tea filter bags are made with fine paper fibers that allow tea to brew quickly while keeping sediment and smaller tea leaves of the finer grade teas from escaping into the brew. The top flap folds over to secure contents inside. The expandable, gusseted bottom allows ample room for tea leaves to fully expand and t-sac to sit securely without the need for a filter stand. Easy to use. Simply open the t-sac, measure in the desired amount of loose leaf tea and fold the top flap over. Place into a teacup for mug and pour in just-boiled water. Steep tea no less than 3 minutes to release its essential oils and maximum the brewed infusion with aroma and flavor. Once tea is steeped to desired strength, discard the t-sac. Great for steeping all types of tea, including black tea, oolong tea, green tea, chai, chamomile and other herbal tea. Or use for mulling spices for cooking and baking, or make hot apple cider, spiced wine, and other drink recipes with mulled spices. Just fill with aromatic spices instead of loose tea. T-Sac tea filter bags are user friendly and disposable for convenience and easy cleanup. Made in Germany from all-natural, unbleached paper with no chemicals or artificial ingredients to taint the flavor of the tea. Environmentally sensitive, completely biodegradable and fully compostable. Available in 4 convenient sizes to brew tea, from single servings to large teapots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tea Sacks
I have been using these for years! They work great, and I haven't had an issue with them tearing or spilling while brewing tea!I used to tie the top of the bag into a knot, so the tea would never come out and just let it float in the mug of hot water. But then I would have to dig it out with a spoon, and the whole thing was wet with hot water. Now, I have gotten lazy and use one of the smaller 1 inch wide chip clips to clip the top of the tea bag to the mug, which keeps it in place while the tea is brewing! Plus, the top of the tea bag is dry and I can hold the top and squeeze out the water with a spoon and keep my hands dry! They work! They don't tear easily, and the tea brews well using them!
5.0 out of 5 stars For large individual cup use (~12-16oz of water) #2 is perfect. Perfect for fine ground or full leaf tea with PLENTY of bloom
Bought number 2 bags to use with full loose leaf teas. Absolutely perfect bags. I needed a medium-large bag for my midday cup of tea at work in my 12oz travel mug, to have space for the teas to bloom. I've tried them with rolled oolongs, wispy whites and greens to sturdy large blacks, and even pouched up some leftover fannings from the greens, and not even microscopic pieces get through. Honestly, I used to just throw fannings out, since they slip through my pot's strainer, but now I have a use for them in these bags! Obviously not the best cup of tea in the world, but there's easily enough for 5-10 cups worth of fannings at the bottom of my tins by the time I'm done.Taste is completely unnoticeable. Steep an empty bag and you won't taste it, and it won't impart flavors onto even the most delicate of white or green teas. Definitely unbleached. For 12-16oz cups, I suggest starting with 1.5 heaping teaspoons (that's baking teaspoons, not the ones in your flatware) of full leaf teas, a teaspoon for tightly rolled teas, and about a teaspoon for fannings. Remember, since you're not getting -full- bloom out of any tea in a bag, you're going to have to use a little more.As for sealing the bags, it couldn't be easier. Don't fold the lip over at the base of where the pouch begins (this will seal a huge chunk of the bag and limit brew space for the tea,) instead fold it over so it only overlaps by about 1cm, and hit it with your iron set to its absolute HOTTEST setting for 10 seconds. You don't even need to fold the lip over, really, as simply ironing the first cm of the pouch will seal it perfectly. Seals do NOT come apart. But make sure you're using the hottest setting on your iron or it may not seal. The edge of an old school soldering iron for under a second also works, as does a curling/flat iron. These bags may be a tad more pricey than other stuff on Bolo, but I honestly can't find fault with these bags. all 100 were put together well and stayed sealed throughout brewing and floating around in a ziploc in my backpack.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good size, no taste tea bag
I have become hooked on loose leaf teas and the expensive, well known brand I started with was not affordable for my habit. These work great, they seem to be unbleached as described in the product description, and impart no flavor I can detect. I use them for my 16 oz travel mugs and they fit well, the teaspoon slides in & out of the pocket easily, and there is enough material at the top to be held in place by the lid while it brews. No wire or metal tea infuser to clean. No leaves in the cup. I plan to buy again when my current stock runs low.Just be sure to note that 200 ct means two boxes with 100 bags in each.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
These looseleaf tea packages hold a great amount of tea leaf and have always worked great for me. Whether I’m brewing a whole picture or just one cup they are great. They’re also a great value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tea comes out clear and fresh!
These teabags are of good quality and are exactly as advertised. I bought the 4-pack of SIZE 2 teabags. They are advertised to be big enough to brew enough tea for 2-4 cups which is correct. It obviously depends on how big the cups are and what kind of tea is being used. The loose leaf tea that I tried with these is small-grained and does have "tea dust" in it. These filters filtered all the dust out and non of the tea particles ended up in the teapot. My tea was clear and sediment free. Great results! These tea bags are 3 x 6 inches and the top section (1.5") can fold over like an envelope - see pics. They are super thin but do not break or tear easily. I tried squeezing the tea out of the tea bag after it was brewed to eliminate any drip and the bag did not tear. I used these in a tea pot and various cups and they work great with all as they fold over easy. They are also thin enough to put the lid back on the teapot to hold the bag. I easily fit 3 teaspoons of dry loose tea and could probably max it out to 5. But do keep in mind that the tea will expand once gets wet. Tried steeping in a cup (1 teaspoon) and in a glass tea pot (3 spoons) and the tea steeped clear and fresh.Overall, I'm very satisfied with these tea filter bags and will definitely buy more when I run out. Seems like the more you buy, the more you save. So the larger packs are a better deal. I think that SIZE 2 are ideal and think that the smaller size (1) would be too small and the larger sizes would only be good for really big teapots. Btw, just for reference the size of my teapot (the one in the pictures) is 1400 ml or 48 oz. Hope this helps.
4.0 out of 5 stars Convenient, especially for the office
I prefer loose leaf tea to tea bags, mostly because I like my tea stronger than most folks and because my favorite desk mug is too large for two tea bags to work and too small for three to brew the way I like. These work like tea bags: you spoon the tea in the paper envelope, pop it in the cup (or pot) of water, then remove when the tea is desired strength. Easy peasy. More wasteful than a permanent filter? Marginally. But if you're in an environment were you can't easily clean (or cleanly store) a permanent filter, these are great. And now I'm spoiled by how much less mess then are than a permanent filter, so continue to use them. You can chuck the whole thing into the compost. Nothing to wash, no trying to get embedded tea leaves out of tiny holes.
