Pencils are great. Just what I wanted. Strangely the pencil box was broken open on both ends so I had to tape it up. Pencils were out of their box when my package arrived.

Very strong led, writes nicely and eraser is great. It's very light and feels good to hold. Got these because Adam Savage (from Myth Busters) was praising them and... well, he's not wrong, they're pretty great.

Works as expected, papermate for the win for the last 15 years for me. Great price compared to local supply stores. I use these every where, office, woodshop, garage. (Although I don't like the color change from the older ones)

Kids go through these pretty quickly. Though found a bunch in my car so maybe I am unfairly shifting the blame.They work great, but I do notice that often, I do something and the internal spring gets loose. So even with 75% lead still inside, I have to throw these away.Still, if you aren't too hard on them, they work great and last a while.Was surprised that Bolo had these for less than half of what Staples is selling them for. Probably a temporary thing.

Paper Mate SharpWriter Mechanical Pencils are fantastic, but Bolo’s delivery is as reliable as a politician’s promise. Try Walmart, Target, or eBay instead. And who knows, maybe Bolo’s stock includes items ‘borrowed’ from Target. Just saying.

Have used since the "old" days so I'm glad they are still on the market. They work well, without the glitches I get in other mechanical pencils. The lead doesn't break easily. It does seem to me that the lead is not as soft as it used to be so the result is a bit less readable. But I haven't found another mech pencil that suits me better.

I’m an architect who draws with pencil and takes notes with pencil in a journal daily. This exact brand of pencil had been my go-to favorite for a decade. Recently I ordered a new box of these pencils and I am so disappointed by the new construction and cheap plastic that is now arriving under the same brand name. They must have changed their manufacturing process to save a few pennies. The new version is of lesser quality, more brittle, cheaper and lighter weight, uglier pale yellow + pink color, and overall a much worse version of what used to be a perfect disposable mechanical pencil. I wish I could buy a case of the old version. But these new ones are no good.
Great mechanical pencil
I've loved these for a long time. I find them better than a mechanical pencil that you refill, because the lead in these doesn't tend to break easily, writes nicely, and you only have to turn the tip a little to advance it. I'm relieved that I can still buy these. They're super practical.
