I am always happy with an oils purchased from healing solutions. Origen of rose geranium is Egypt which is correct helping to confirm. They are one of the only essential oil brands that consistently openly offers GC-MS test results, This is an authentic, quality product.

My husband and I are rv'ing in Pennsylvania for a few weeks. The ticks were so bad I was dreaming about them. We were getting several a day. We bought a deet product, but I didn't want to be exposed to that, so I followed a suggestion from my daughter and bought rose/geranium oil. I mixed some up in a small glass spray bottle (following the Pennsylvania lady's instructions: 1/3 cup distilled water, 1 T witch hazel, 40 drops of the oil) and we spray it on several times a day. The results are amazing! No ticks! Now we can actually enjoy walking outside! My daughter has had the same results in Maine, where the ticks are also bad this year, and it's a safe way to protect her small children. The smell isn't unpleasant--it just smells like roses to me. I strongly recommend this natural way of avoiding those nasty ticks.

I use this as a natural tick deterrent on my dog (and myself). It works great as long as your remember to apply fairly regularly...and it helps the normal doggy odor as well.I read a post on the web from a woman in Pennsylvania who said she hiked with her dog every day and was pulling at least 5 or 6 ticks off of him after every walk. She started putting a drop behind the dog's shoulders and its tail and the ticks stopped messing with her dog. I also put it on the bottom of my pants when I go out in the woods... or even on my neck. It smells a bit like your grandmother's house, but it works.

I can't say with 100% certainty that this works, but I put drops of it on my sockline, hairline, behind my ears, and near my groin for a few days of hiking in the Georgia mountains, and I had no ticks on me. I have a huge aversion to ticks and was really concerned about this, as this is supposed to be a particularly bad year. I also put a drop on my dog between her shoulder blades and she was tick free. However, she is also on Sentinel. I kind-of like the smell. My boyfriend is not crazy about it, but it faded pretty quickly, at least to our noses, so it was only an annoyance on application.I will repurchase, however this bottle will probably last me all year. I keep it in my running pack so I never forget to apply.

I enjoy this essential oil and I been getting a lot of compliments on it. I have a lava essential oil bracelet that I put on it and it's beautiful.I have been experiencing Hot flashes and I bought it for some sort of relief. It hasn't taken away my hot flashes but, the sent allows me to calm down and reduces panicking about it.So it does help me. I am happy for trying it.

I've been using this for years to successfully repel ticks on myself. Putting a drop on my ankles, wrists, and neck keeps them away. I've been told it works on animals, but have not done that. For anyone who is outdoors and risking exposure to to ticks, this is the best prevention and no toxic commercial repellant sprays are needed.
