This product works very well for my bun. I see that it manages odor for up to 10 days. I don’t know who would go that long without changing their bun’s litter. I scoop several times a day. But it does keep his urine from pooling and puddling and corroding the plastic bottom of the litter pan. Also, it absorbs the urine so well that I don’t have to empty the whole litter pan just scoop the specific areas that the urine has saturated into. This is good news because having to empty the whole litter pan out two or three times a day gets expensive and generates a lot of trash. This litter allows me to do my part to keep his litter clean, and he does his part by using his litter pan. He’s a very good bun.

The best paper bedding I know of and far superior for Guinea pigs than other products. It is dust free, controls odor, soft for their feet and easy to keep clean. Just pick up the poop and wet spots, add clean bedding and they are good to go. Fleece can be attractive but unless changed almost daily it "smells" and while less expensive than paper bedding, I don't have the time to do laundry almost daily. I should also note that Carefresh is a terrific company...I received several bags of inferior quality that I had ordered online made by a new supplier to them and they immediately appologized and sent me coupons for free replacements when I reported it to them. Not many companies will do that.Move ahead to May 2018...I don't know what happened to Carefresh but their soft, fluffy paper beddding has been replaced by large clumps of hard pieces of paper that have a chemical smell and do not absorb urine as well. I again reached out to the company which again offered free coupons for replacement bags but the bags in the stores are just as bad so that was no help. I'm afraid to order online because I don't know what I'll receive. In the past I've returned bags to Bolo, Chewy and Petsmart online. I think my days of buying Carefresh Ultra are over and that is really sad.

I have had more than half a dozen hamsters in my lifetime, and this soft paper bedding is far preferable to cheaper bedding made from wood chips, etc. The wood chips are often scented with oils, which is not good for hamsters to smell 100% of the time. The paper bedding has basically no scent and absorbs urine and other odors. Hamsters love to burrow into their bedding, and this is great for snuggling. As with all bedding, this type must be changed weekly.

I always get this for my animals off Bolo because you get so much for such a good price! I've used a lot of varieties and this one is pretty basic but gets the job done. It's kind of looks like shredded up card board, it's easy to clean, doesn't stick too bad on the bottom of the cages, still has a bit of a fluffy texture (though not as much as the white varieties), and as far as bedding goes is standard sized. It's a very nice sized bag for the price. I am able to clean two hamster cages and a guinea pig cage with two guinea pigs in it for about 3-4 cleanings depending on who does the changing. Well worth it especially compared to some in store prices!

This bedding is perfect for my guinea pigs, it’s soft and very absorbent. My piggies love running around and playing in it. It’s easy to clean up. I have a plastic liner in my c&c cage which I just wrap up and throw away very quickly, in one step all the old litter is gone. Then I just put a new liner in. It is pretty expensive though.

It also controls odors INCREDIBLY well, which is a HUGE plus. My daughter's hamster LOVES digging in it, and it seems to be very comfortable for them. Killed our loved one
We have an autistic child and he had a hamster that he loved so much. We used this product and within 2 days, it killed our hamster. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Works like a charm
I love using carefresh and this one works great for odor control. It absorbs the pee, very well. I also find the colored ones tend to smell so bad when your cleaning it out. I also like that it was like a $10 dollar difference from my local pet store.Update:I got a new batch of carefresh and its an off white color. Same amount just different color and works the same from what I can see. The one left is the new stuff and the old color is one the right.
