About this item:
There’s a reason the OXO Good Grips Nonstick Pro Frying Pan was named the highest rated 12" nonstick skillet by Cook’s Illustrated. Our pan features a three layer, German engineered nonstick coating that provides effortless performance while using less oil and delivers quick and easy cleanup. The pan is spacious enough for family size frittatas and big cuts of meat. The pan’s scratch resistant, hard anodized body heats faster and more evenly than traditional aluminum, and the stainless steel handle makes oven cooking easy. Dishwasher safe. Oven safe up to 430°F/220°C. Limited lifetime warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Test kitchen recommended
I love Test Kitchen and they recommend this skillet. It is great quality, firm handle, non stick, and easy to clean. It is dark gray black, with a stainless lid. The lid handle can be hot so be careful! Great price!it looks well with little or no oil. Heat spreads evenly so cute times are accurate.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well-constructed and excellent non-stick performing frying pan
The Oxo Good Grips Pro frying pans are the top non-stick frying pan recommendation from America’s Test Kitchen, and rightfully so. The pans are surprisingly light but very robust, well balanced, and the non-stick surface performance is excellent. The pans heat up quickly and evenly with no hot spots. The handle is stainless steel and very sturdy. Because stainless steel is a poor heat conductor, the handle stays cool and you do not need pot holders or a silicone handle cover to grab it.I purchased the 10” and 8” versions of the pan. These frying pans do a great job of cooking anything and everything. Especially breakfast eggs and potatoes which are the main reason I needed them. I am treating the new pans with kid gloves, making sure to only use non-stick coating safe utensils (wood or silicone). As well as thoroughly cleaning, and drying them after each use. Make sure to not use dish washing liquid that contains bleach or citrus additives as these will break down the non-stick coating. I am hoping to get many years of “non-stick” use out of these pans.I needed a lid for the 10” Oxo Good Grips Pro frying pan to cook breakfast eggs. Previously I had used a general-purpose lid with the 1.5" to 2.0" silicone edge. Although that worked, the silicone edge tended to accumulate grease from the oil/butter used to cook the eggs and was difficult to keep clean. And so I was looking to obtain a new lid.Luckily the B08X6VQ6QS 10" Ozeri Tempered Glass Fry Pan Lid (part number GL3-26) perfectly fits the 10" Oxo Good Grips Pro frying pan. I measured the diameter of the Oxo 10" pan at exactly 10.75". The Ozeri lid is specified to be 10.7" in diameter. This results in this lid being a perfect fit for the 10" Oxo Good Grips Pro frying pan. The attached photos show what a great fit this lid is for the 10” Oxo Good Grips Pro frying pan.The silicone rim on the Ozeri lid is much smaller (only 0.5") than on the general-purpose lids (1.5" to 2.0"), and so I am hoping it will be easier to keep it grease free. One minor issue with this Ozeri lid is that the steam vents are on the side edges and not on top. This results in the lid getting “fogged” up a little bit more than those with the steam vent on the top. Hence visibility into the pan while cooking is a little bit less, but that is not a big deal since you can still generally see inside there.I did not purchase the B08X6CKMS8 8” Ozeri Tempered Glass Fry Pan Lid (part number GL3-20) but it is specified at 8.3” diameter. I have measured the 8” Oxo Good Grips Pro frying pan diameter at 8.3”, and so this lid should fit well.Note: the Ozeri lids are delivered with the knob put in backwards. This is done on purpose to create a lower profile lid for easier shipping. They even included a note saying as much, and that all you need to do is unscrew the knob as shipped and re-install it in the correct position. See attached photo.
5.0 out of 5 stars Top Choice for a Nonstick Pan
This review is for OXO Good Grips Pro 12" Frying Pan Skillet, 3-Layered German Engineered Nonstick Coating, Dishwasher Safe, Oven Safe, Stainless Steel Handle, Black. I purchased this for a house member who really likes nonstick cookware. I ordered this one, because Cook's Illustrated America's Test Kitchen rated it the best. It's a very nice pan, and we have used it many times so far. The nonstick surface is holding up very well, and it is definitely nonstick. We have cooked eggs, meat, chicken, fish, and other items in it. Nothing stuck to the pan. We only hand wash it, and we only use non-metal utensils with it. The weight of the pan is good, and the handle is comfortable and ergonomic. All-in-all this is a great pan if you are looking for something nonstick.A side note about nonstick pans:I am generally not a fan of nonstick pans. I don't like cooking with something that is a part of planned obsolescence. All nonstick cookware slowly starts to wear down with use. It is just the nature of it. So, eventually all nonstick cookware has to be replaced, as eventually it will lose its nonstick properties. This brings me to the other part that I don't like. Nonstick cookware uses chemical products to make it nonstick, and those chemicals wind up in your food. Reports claim the chemicals are safe, but you have to judge your level of confidence in the reports. I don't see a benefit to having added chemicals in my food. Also, you can't use metal utensils with nonstick pans, as the metal will damage the nonstick coating. This generally means one set of non-metal cooking utensils and a separate set of metal utensils to use with your standard cookware. So, I have two sets of cooking utensils. Also, different nonstick cookware will have different maximum temperature ratings. This pan is rated up to 430 F degrees. If you go above that you breakdown the chemical nonstick coating, which not only ruins the nonstick coating, but it also puts those chemicals into your food. I once had a different brand of nonstick pan many years ago that I cooked an omelette in. The nonstick coating had broken down and left all sorts of black flakes on my omelette, so both the omelette and pan went into the garbage. Personally, I prefer to go with a high-quality, multi-clad, stainless steel set of pots & pans that I can use any utensils on that I like and will last me forever. However, if you are going to purchase a nonstick pan this one is an excellent choice because it is a good pan and at a good price point for replacement.
5.0 out of 5 stars Such a great frying & cooking pan!
I bought this pan to replace an old teflon pan that was worn out. This pan is ready to go right out of the box with just a quick rinse/wash, no seasoning or heating in the oven required. This pan is absolutely non-stick and I love cooking with it. No regrets at all & worth the money. The top cover fits well and the pan is properly flat so oils don’t pool on the sides or center. It makes cooking eggs (and pretty much anything else) so easy because not even a single piece of egg gets stuck to the pan! More eggs in my belly, lol. I always use a little butter in the pan and I’m pretty sure OXO recommends using some kind of cooking lubricant (oil or butter, etc.) in the pan but you might not even need to. It’s a great pan and I already recommended it to a family member who bought one for themselves after trying mine, so go for it 🙂.
heavier than i thought.
super nice to cook in and clean up. will order more as i can…if they come in other sizes.
Excelente producto
Muy recomendado, realmente funciona, no se le pega nada y es fácil de lavar
Too shallow
Great pan and love the lid but it’s too shallow to do most of what I bought it for. Nowhere could I find the pan capacity and the pictures are misleading.
Not induction compatible
This product is advertised as induction compatible, but it is not - and the notice of the product is very clear that it is not induction compatible.Seller takes more than a week to respond to basic questions and has not reimbursed yet. Unfair commercial practice?Do not get scammed like me - look for another product!
superb quality
You could just tell from the moment you pick it up, it's a quality item. Well worth the extra cost over a cheaper option. Should last a lifetime. Let you all know if it does, just before i pop my clogs.
