5.0 out of 5 stars So many sizes. Nice and sturdy
I like how the sizes are on the ball end. I hate the metal needles and this is the best. Nice and sturdy, the yarn comes off smoothly. It's a comfortable hold and I don't have as sore of hands. All solid colors. Very lightweight. Will come back if I need to replace
5.0 out of 5 stars Great set of budget needles
I just started knitting and wanted to buy a complete set of needles since I kept needing different sizes. These were nice and smooth and easy to use. I'm a bit surprised at the quality. The head of one of the smaller needles fell off, but to be honest I might have sat on it. I used a dab of super glue and it was good as new. I have a pair of "brand name" needles and to be honest it's hard to tell the difference between them. Random tip that I did, I took a set of paint pens and colored the nubs of each head to differentiate the sizes. It applied nicely, and now I can grab the correct size at a glance.
4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth Needles
Pros: great quality bamboo, my daughter likes how the yarn stays on the needles vs metal needles, not a lot of clicking while knitting, they are very smooth yet enough friction to hold yarn, variation of sizes, nice length, and shipping was fast.Cons: the US size 5.5 and smaller will bend slightly and stay bent after 2-3rd use, the points on US size 11-15 are too blunt -making it difficult to slip the needle through loops on tight stitches.Would recommend the larger sized needles for long term use, however the smaller sizes appear to be flimsy. This is a great set for beginner to advanced knitters. I'm giving this 4 stars due to my daughter not trusting the durability of size 0-4.5.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great variety of good quality needles
Beautiful, smooth, sharp points, lightweight, well constructed needles. Easy to knit with. 5*/5.
5.0 out of 5 stars As a beginner, very helpful to have many sizes
As an adult beginner, I found it helpful to be able to,try out varying needle sizes for my arthritic hands. They are comfortable to hold, and priced right for someone just starting out.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best for beginners
Well packed. The needles are smooth & not heavy. The grip is good. The ends are pointed but not sharp. So it doesn’t hurt. It made my knitting better as a beginner.
3.0 out of 5 stars So many needles, not enough time
For the price, you'll be getting exactly what you expect. Very useful set thanks to the good variance in size. I wish that there were more larger-sized needles for bigger projects, but there aren't any bulk sets available with assorted larger needles. They definitely feel cheap, but none have broken or even splintered so far. The micro-splinters from the wood style have been catching the yarn, making the knitting process less fluid, but it doesn't harm the harm or the finished product. You're getting exactly what you pay for with these, cheap but useful needles in a good selection of sizes. They do have a slightly undesirable smell to them (a wood smell), but worth putting up with for the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice beginner bamboo needles for the price!
I was very happy when my order arrived matching the descriptions of good reviews rather than the bad ones. XD I'm a relative newbie to knitting having completed just a scarf and some dishcloths on other wood needles. I needed 10mm (US 15) needles to make a hat and they worked beautifully! Now I'm also using them to make another scarf. I've also used the 4.5mm (US 7) needles to continue making a dishcloth. There are a lot of smaller needle sizes in this set which aren't so great for beginners, but I look forward to using them in the future when I gain more experience. I'm hoping they don't break, but they feel solid enough for now! As long as your knitting tension isn't too tight, you should be fine. I gave this set 4 stars for beginners only because there are so many smaller sizes that might be more difficult for beginners to use at first.I made the mistake of not paying much attention to the length of the needles. I haven't had a problem fitting my stitches on the needle but if you have a larger project, you may want to opt for circular needles. Just take out a ruler and make sure 9" is long enough for your liking. They also may have a little bow in them but it isn't an impediment to your knitting.I love that each needle has its size marked on it and they measure true to size! I would highly recommend these if you're looking for multiple sizes to begin your knitting journey with!
Bamboo yarn utensils
Great quality and makes knitting very comfortable and outcome amazing
Surprised
I was surprised at how small they are, wouldn't be suitable for larger Items. Pity really. Limited to what I could use the for. Plus I dislike the feel of them. I have never used them before and it's like chalk on a blackboard. Not sure if I'll get much use out of them.
One Star
Please DO NOT buy this product. Return is a problem. The quality is not upto the mark
Beginner needles
Great for beginners sturdy and not too slippery
As described
This was exactly what I wanted. They are a great batch of needles ranging in all the basic sizes. The price was perfect for what I wanted them for, and they arrived within days as promised. Individually wrapped in plastic allows for quick placement of pairs, rather than having to sort them upon arrival. At ten inches long they are perhaps a bit short for large projects, but are perfect for teaching a newbie, or for smaller items. Would definitely recommend these for a good starter kit.
