A die cutting machine will always be necessary in order to die cut, though it's not the machine itself that physically cuts your material. The die cutter you use (for example a Sizzix Bigz, Thinlits or Framelits die), is responsible for revealing your design. The machine just applies the pressure. So if you're ever unsure whether you can die cut a certain material, check the compatibility of your die rather than your machine.

I had to replace my old Sussix Big shot about a month ago. My first one was worn out. This new model is sturdy. And I love how the platform and shims completely come off the machine. For those of you who have owned the old machine, you know how you would try to be cranking and then the platform would run into something. This platform is smaller and much easier to use. Thank you sissix for making this change .

I purchased for a craft room and knew it would get a lot of use. Holding up real well. Only limitation is if you have a lot of large dies. Only accommodates up to 6 inches wide. I had to use my Big Shot Plus for those.
Sizzix doesn't disappoint
Had a Sizzix Big Shot but gave it to a friend after getting the Gemini by Crafters Companion. However, that was a mistake since some of the embossing folders I had were too thick for the Gemini. So bought another one. Works like a dream and now I can use some of my favorite embossing folders.

Es de excelente calidad, tal cual se muestra y describe en la página de venta. El corte es perfecto. Un producto que había deseado desde hace un tiempo y ahora estoy feliz con mi nuevo “juguete” :)He visto comentarios sobre que no incluye todo y es por el tipo de paquete que se está adquiriendo. El “básico “ es la sizzix con las plataformas de corte solamente, también hay otra opción en donde si vienen incluidos troqueles y papel y obviamente es más costoso, así que antes de comprar hay que seleccionar que paquete deseas. En mi caso pedí el básico, pues ya cuento con papel y los troqueles los preferí comprara aparte y a mi gusto.La parte del mango de la palanca viene para armar, así qué hay que seguir bien las instrucciones de armado, las cuales son muy sencillas.

Buon compromesso tra la grande A4 e quella piu' piccola , pratica anche se un po' pesante .Al momento l'ho usata con gomma Eva , feltro sottile e un po' piu' grosso .Perfetta.
My favourite die cutter
I'm on around my fifth Big Shot. I use mine almost daily, so I do eventually work them to death! But I always buy another one. The Big Shot is a real work horse, strong and sturdy and also very easy to use. I have an eBosser for my larger dies (rarely used) but I just love my Big Shot.
