I prefer this oil over any other, even the relatively tasteless avocado oil. This has virtually no taste, is refined so well that it lasts a long time, and it's incredibly healthy when compared to other oils we tend to use in the US. I like it so much that I even used it in baking over the winter holidays and was delighted at how well it worked! Now it's my go-to oil in everything that calls for oil, regardless of whether it's a savory or sweet recipe. It's kinda expensive, but so far it's totally worth it.

Having been told by the allergist I needed to go on a Candida diet, by the primary doctor that I needed to go on a diabetes diet ... I was left in a quandary. Near as I could determine the only foods/directions in common were healthy fats, low or no carbs and proteins. So I started a Keto diet. The 1st month seemed to go just fine. Then for the next 5-6 weeks, I bounced up and down between 2 # and couldn't get anywhere. I decided to try and increase my fat intake with this product, and low and behold, after only 1 week, I've finally begun to loose weight again. While I have no intention of staying Keto for the rest of my life -- I'm not convinced it's a long term solution to healthy eating -- I will stay on it for another few months. At the 6 month mark, I'm going to take a break for a week, and then resume. My goal, is to loose another 40-50 # and that may not be possible at my age. However, I think this oil is in fact giving me the extra edge needed to reach ketogenesis because my weight is finally going down again -- and it's really the only major change I've made. The other minor change I made was to reduce my net carbs even further, but I had done that before adding the MCT oil.Update (5/16/24): I'm no longer certain it's helping. It seemed to be at first, but once again, I'm not loosing weight and although I reduced my net carbs to 5% and include a tablespoon of MCT oil each morning, I also find I'm getting hungrier earlier each day. In conclusion, while this makes it easier to increase my fat intake more easily, it doesn't appear to be doing much for me. Of course, it could be because I'm almost 70, considerably overweight for my height and far too sedentary. I suspect a lot of people who have this working for them are younger and/or far more active. Have been at this since February and not yet ready to throw in the towel.

I use this in place of creamer in my coffee. It makes the coffee smooth and creamy without dairy and the MCTs are good for me.
