5.0 out of 5 stars Great protein powder for pregnancy!
I can't speak to whether or not this helps with morning sickness, as my sickness always comes in the afternoon/evenings. But my doctor recommended this specific protein powder (at about 34 weeks) to help baby gain weight. I wouldn't want to speculate on if it works for that, as results are impossible for me to measure. The taste (tahitian vanilla) is great. I can't tolerate many protein powders because they're overly sweet. This one is very sweet, but drinkable. On its own, I prefer the kona mocha flavor. My favorite thing to do with this flavor is add a scoop to a blender with 8-10 oz milk, a banana, and spoonful of peanut butter. Blend it up and it's a lot like a banana pudding shake! It tastes good and is filling.I like that this has the added vitamins for baby, but I take a prenatal as well anyway. I wish I had had this protein in my first 2 trimesters to see if it helped me keep weight on when I was so nauseated. The only con for me is that it's quite pricey. But worth it if I can keep it down and it helps my baby!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best tasting
I was super picky with my protein powders while pregnant. Pretty much every brand made me sick and it was hard for me to get in enough protein. This was by far the best tasting I could find. I wish it was just a bit cheaper so I could have taken it every day.
4.0 out of 5 stars I like the Vanilla taste but what i don't like is ...
Just received the product and it has helped me to get some protein in the morning. i'm 10 weeks prego and it has been so hard for me to eat anything that i have acually lost weight instead fo gaining. trying to eat any kind of proteing just makes me sick. (i have a thing with textures right now). I mix this with milk and fruit (bananas, blueberries and/or strawberries). It keeps me full for a while. I like the Vanilla taste but what i don't like is the Stevia after taste (i really don't like the taste of any sugar substitute) i would prefer it had less stevia or not at all and i could sweeten my shake with honey or just the sugar in the fruit. But it is working for me right now.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes Great with Milk. Energy Booster!
This is pretty delicioud. I got this because I wanted to prep my body with the right vitamins for when the time comes to start a family.I noticed no weight gain from this and it's actually helped to curb my sweet tooth. I usually crave ice cream and reeses daily but this shake is so sweet, it satiates the craving without the guilt. I also noticed immediately that my energy increased. The directions state you can add this to a smoothie but, for me, the flavor of the powder was so strong it threw off any smoothie I tried it in. My beloved strawberry/banana became hardly drinkable. I have found though that mixing this with 8-10 oz of milk, a handful of ice cubes and a splash of vanilla makes for a tasty shake; it's like a sugar free Frappuccino. That's my go to for now.
3.0 out of 5 stars Chalky but gets the job done… beats the chocolate
This one came in 3rd place for me. Very chalky, but the taste was decent esp when blended with frozen fruits. I finished my bag but have found the strawberry & salted caramel ones to be best, so I won’t be purchasing this one again. MUCH better than the chocolate one tho IMO
1.0 out of 5 stars NOT WORTH THE MONEY
I read reviews but rarely write one, but as a new mom 8.5 months pregnant with my first, I wanted to find a good power for breastfeeding as well as the final few weeks of pregnancy. Especially when some of the nausea comes back, I wanted to make sure I was still getting enough protein. I was excited this brand had good reviews, but really disappointed in the actual product. Smells great I will say that, but the main ingredients are whey protein and hydrolyzed corn protein. So to me there's nothing "holistic" or super natural about this brand. It's just an expensive version of every other protein powder out there but less for your money. I also thought it was way too sweet. The flavor has a artificial sweetener taste to it. Even with only frozen berries, plain tart Greek yogurt, and unsweetened coconut milk the flavor made me more nauseated after a quarter of the smoothie than anything. Of all the things to help with pre and post natal nutrition to find out there, I'm super disappointed in this purchase. I would look for an actual all natural quality brand that isn't just whey and corn, and that is a better value for your money as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, great company!
I am 21 weeks pregnant and have been using baby booster protein powder for months now. I actually even took it to my prenatal appointment for my doctor to thoroughly look it over and she approved of it. It not only helps with being nauseous, it's packed with good nutrition for your baby. Around my fourth bag I noticed the smell was a little off and tasted differently, I was extremely hormonal that day and wrote a very disappointed review. Since then I have had contact with the seller who was upset to hear I was so disappointed and not only replaced my bag but sent me a care package for apologies. I highly recommend this product and highly recommend this company!
5.0 out of 5 stars So good
It doesnt make me gag and helped with my morning sickness everyday that i drank it at the start of my day. This taste like vanilla and keeps me from vomiting when I start feeling nauseous as well. I love that I'm getting vitamins and protein that my baby and body so desperately needed. I feel better after drinking this as well. I'm happier knowing that this is not a waste of money at all. Do I wish it was cheaper... yes, but in the end I'm a little bit more comfortable knowing that I get to keep it in my body instead of in the toilet.
