5.0 out of 5 stars It tastes just like sugar
This tastes exactly like light brown sugar. It is worth the price - especially if it means no weird aftertaste you get from other sugar alternatives. I love this stuff.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love the Monkfruit sweetener
I love the Monkfruit sweetener. This product was recommended by a health product website that specializes in digestive issues. I suffer from IBS with candida which is a yeast overgrowth in the intestines. Monkfruit does not feed the yeast so it is safe for candida sufferers. Tastes great, just like sugar and works perfectly in baking. Actually I find I can use a little less than the amount of sugar the recipe calls for. Approximately a 1/4 cup less especially if you don't want your baked goods to be too sweet. The golden sweetener is a great substitute if you like or need brown sugar in a recipe but I also like it on cereal as well. Gives it a bit of a maple flavor. It is a bit expensive but if you can't have any sugar whatsoever, than this is worth the price. Maybe as it gains more popularity, the price will get more reasonable. I also use Stevia but sometimes Stevia can have a bitter aftertaste and monkfruit doesn't.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just get it!
I love this stuff! I use it every day. It actually doesn’t mess with your blood sugar levels. Is proven not to be a flammatory food and my 6 year old doesn’t know the difference. I use it in cassava flour muffins and it tastes just like sugar. I also sprinkle it on sweet potatoes and cant tell a difference. We also use the maple syrup. People complain its too thin but I happen to like it that way. U can also add a little arrowroot starch to the maple syrup and thicken it but I never do. The only time I can tell a difference is in cloud bread cookies. But that’s definitely not a deal breaker. Just get it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Sugar Substitute
I have tried just about all the sugar substitutes out there and this is the far the best tasting one for me. In the past I've actually gotten headaches from the blue and pink packets; however, no problem with monk fruit. Consistency is about the same as sugar, but no aftertaste of other sweeteners. It's about a one to one ratio as a sugar substitute with a similar level of sweetness to my taste.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good sugar substitute
I use this in my coffee, and have also purchased the individual packets for travel. It's a very close sugar substitute. If you go overboard, you will taste a little difference from say cane sugar, and if you put a little on your tongue, it has a cool, bright taste, if you will. For someone who puts a tsp in each cup of coffee and tea, this will drastically reduce your daily sugar intake!
5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, mild flavor, no bitterness or aftertaste
This sweetener has monkfruit and erythritol. The taste is mild enough that it can substitute for white or brown sugar. I have mainly used it for iced tea and cannot speak to its use for baking. Good value and measures like sugar.
5.0 out of 5 stars lovely sweet
I like this sweetener very much and use it a lot when making treats.
5.0 out of 5 stars Staple for baking when low carb
I have to say that the golden added that missing touch to my low carb chocolate chip cookies. I have not tried any other sweetener that offer a "Golden" sugar substitute to replace brown sugar, but after trying this brand I don't see any need to without some special reason. It is pricey, but I have found that I don't need to use quite as much, I usually cut the requirement amount to half or a little more than half. No one that has had any items baked with this have had any tummy issues (even when eating more than a cookie or two). Though, sweet are a rare treat, this will definitely be what I use.
